Have also just recieved the shipping notice on my Super Hotshot from Stella, so pretty excited to see it in the flesh when it gets here. ;)

I´m also excited about seeing this packing done by Stella, as it sounds like a fantastic job. Not too worried about creases or scrathes in the box, as it will be built asap..

Really looking forward to getting it, as my only other "Supershot-experience" was a pretty well used and worn out specimen some years ago.

Well there has been some super hot shot rims, undertray & some limited screw kits & rear shock mounts from ebay seller jr/rc.

woo-hoo, I got mine today!. ;)

Excellent packing by Steallamodels, with loads of bubblewrap and styrofoam inside the box with the bits, AND inside the big box, containing the kitbox.. ACE packing indeed!!.. Anyway, I have not started building it yet, I´m afraid, but building will commence as soon as i have a little time on my hands. (Perhaps later tonight, lol)..

I also chose to purchase some PS-12 paint for it, so I guess I´ll be going boxart for this one. ;)

Funny, I believe the manual states "flat white" for the drivers suit, but it´s blue on the box? Oh well.. Guess I´ll stick with the blue as shown on the box.

Now I just need a little time to build, a little time to paint and decal the shell, and LOTS of sunny weather to run it in. :D

Usually jr/rc lists alot more items for a re-re kit by now..especially with the super hotshot one would think!.. as standed procedure the bulk money making ebay sellers model build & tamiya rc spares in the U.K are at it again lol almost triple the price from jr/rc's prices..

Just like with the avante.. I'm not complaining as i managed to snatch up some spares quickly, but i just wanted to help out a little with all of us members, or new members with info.. type tamiya super hot shot in your save searches on ebay and check regularly & you may be quick enough to snatch up some spares from jr/rc... hope this helps you out for some spares at a standed price..

He has listed super hotshot parts & bruiser parts . But you have to be VERY fast , as alot goes fast . I have click on to see how meany he has

then got out of that page & there are all gone , Just like that . I will buy between 5 too 10 items for my runners only . So

i have spears to last me for some time later . I don't like to buy just to get the bit's to sell later .

jr-rc has got in about 200 sets of gold rims & bang they don't last in the time he has put them up . One time he had 70 sets of rims & the were gone

in a few hours . The best bit is he don't rip you off with over price stuff . I had seen these rims for $29.99 per set ;) , But not jr-rc , He has to

be one of the best RC E-bay shops around with Stella & some others of course . I have seen he has put too lots of bruiser stuff this week

as the 1st lot went fast , So the next night he put more on . You should see how fast the tyres or stickers got WOW ! .

I have read that DF-01 cvd's/universals fit in the shot re re's, can someone confirm this please.

Also, think it was on TC, people were talking about adding an extra bearing to the rear shot box for added durability, can someone link me please, I cannot find it

I have finally pulled the trigger on one of these kits....only about three years later than originally planned.

They seem to be getting in short supply for a price under £200 now. They are still available on ebay, but our favourite HK sellers don't have them and have no idea if or when they ever will again, which is a bit of a sickener as their prices were excellent, and a lot lower than the price they asked when the kit was first released. Stella's price in 2012 was $240 but their last listed price was $172.50.

I could have had one for £155 from Stella, or £165 from RC Mart if they had stock. Instead I went with Modelbau Siedel and paid £185. Also added some other spare parts as there was no extra shipping charge for that.

Banzai do still have them for roughly £155 all in, but the chances of beating import duty when buying kits with them is always slim.

Has anyone else bought one from Stella or RC Mart recently? Just interested to know when they last sold out of the kit.

I think stella only had limited batches of these kits listed on 3 separate short occasions. i had to email stella when they were released to hold one for me as they were selling out fast. I saw them sold out in their store at least 1.5 yrs ago. Though i could be wrong with my timing. Just my experience lurking through stella's inventory..Congrats on your new purchase.. :)

Anyone drop a brushless motor in this re-release?

Yep , In the boomerang . 5.5 BL & it went well . As it has the same gearbox's etc parts .

But just make sure you have bearings etc & your good to go . 5.5 BL is way to much  ,

10.5 , 13.5 , 17.5 , 21.5 are good , Mind you the 10.5 i have turned down :D ,,

Thanks for the info. I was looking at (Sidewinder 3 with NC1406-4600kV motor) Not really sure how that relates to the T on the sensored Brushless motors. I am kinda just getting back into things.

I drive a Sidewinder 3 with 4600 kv motor in my DB02 Leonis. I know it is not comparable to a Supershot gearbox wise, but it is fine for its purpose in this size car. I have dialed it a bit down, so the speed is controllable. I drive it on 2s lipo.

We all run 12t EZ Run combos with our S/Shots at Boondal.

ESC just fits in the mechanism box with the esc cooling fan which is a must as it's enclosed box. Clears the center prop shaft by 2mm.

Motor wires just reach with the standard set up.

Depending how you gear them it's more then enough but not too much.

I've got a 4000Kv 10.5T Ezrun combo in my hotshot re-re. The 60A speedo fits ok in the mechanism box, and I slotted the access hatch with 2mm slots to help vent the mech box.
