Summer tends to be a busier time for me, so a great deal of projects and ideas tend to stack up in my mind waiting for the slower winter months. I'm sure others have a backlog of things they want to get to so let's hear them. Here's a few of mine:

1. Return my Mod Clod back to stock. I love stock bouncy Clod Busters. While the Mod Clod was cool, I miss having a stocker. I was really hoping Mr. T would re-re the original but it doesn't look like its in the cards yet, so my Super Clod gets returned to stock with a restored shell in the process.

2. Combine all the ORV monster bits I have laying around. I already have a shelfer Monster Beetle and a runner Blackfoot but I have quite a graveyard of parts as well. I'm going to try to cobble together a runner MB and a shelfer BF.

3. Track down a body and finish my King Cab. I bought this one locally and intend to run it. They always looked like fun trucks and I aim to find out.

4. Finish a runner Sand Scorcher body. I've been putting this complicated paint job off for months. Its time to get it done.

5. Piece together a Pajero. I grabbed the re-re body and parts so now I just have to locate some Brat wheels/tires. I already have a spare Lunchie chassis to "de-evolve" for the project. Anybody know a good source for hump-packs? :)

6. Grab some FAV oil filled shocks.

7. Definately get ahold of the forthcoming Super Shot re-release. Sorry, It will always be the Super Shot to me, not the Super Hot Shot.

There's probably alot more but this will get me started. How about all of you?

I have quite a few bodyshells to paint and decal.

Plus I have my Christmas cc01 fj40 build to get on with. I have been collecting all the gpm parts, wheels and tyres plus roofrack for the past few weeks so I'm really looking forward to this one.

1. Choose a motor and ESC for my Egress, paint the body and drive it.

2. Sell my new as brushless DB01 to sponsor rest of list.

3. Buy a HB2010 and join the Holiday Buggy 2010 Appreciation Society.

4. Fit the HB2010 yellow star dish wheels "yes these look great now" onto my Astute along with the original yellow CVA's.

5. Grey speed dish wheels and black CVA's are swapped straight onto the HB2010.

6. Thrash the HB2010 and drive the Egress quietly on a still day. :)

7. Fit DF01 buggy suspension arms to my Ford F-150 re-re and then make it go faster.

1. Clean/lube/repair/adjust our existing buggies and touring cars. Beware garden rocks, fire hydrants, and 1:1 cars!

2. Work on a TT01R Type E rally conversion. This one has me geeked because there are several do-it-yourself aspects to this project. It could be just as involving as the DF02 short course truck or the stretched Lunch Box I worked on during the summer and fall.

3. Build a CR-01 Unimog. I'll probably build this box stock at first and play with it a little. But, this might become the basis for the "Power Platform" build I was discussing in another thread. I see a lot of styrene work in this one to model a unique piece of power equipment.

4. Build a Blitze ESE Pro for racing. Short course trucks and 1/8 nitro are all the rage with the racers in our area, so there's no point in showing up with a 1/10 buggy if no one else does.

Only 2 for me:

1. Finish the Blackfoot. Stripping the paint is giving me fits, but I'll get it. The chassis is just sitting there, all pretty and clean, waiting... it's going to be a runner, so it needn't be perfect, but I want it nice.

2. Make a 1:10 replica of "Red," my beloved 1991 Mazda Miata. This will be either on an M06 or a Cup Racer chassis, and the body will have a ton of details, and not be run much. I'm going to try to duplicate all the dents, faded spots, and flaws of the 1:1. Might even do an interior and a soft top.

I have some other puttering around with stuff I want to do, but the list changes all the time. These 2 I want to finish this winter, however.

I have a few projects for the coming year,

amongst these projects I would want to tick boxes in all below

1] full strip and rebuild of a Fire Dragon

2] model delicate parts for Fire Dragon in cad and have a few made in metal, A5 part in mind for this one

3] start new job!! hopefully fund a Top Force Build later in the year, failing that one of the newer 4wd buggies from the Tamiya stable

4] hunt down a Thundershot project

5] design and fabricate a set of custom wheels for 1:10 off road buggy, and maybe, just maybe get my CAD modelling skills up to scratch to make a custom body shell that has been eluding me for years!!

Anyone know how to get 5 free days out of a week?? LOL

Summertime here, so when the weather improves (it's been very wet and cold), I'll get some painting projects done.

1) Paint and build my Sand Scorcher

2) Paint and build my Avante 2011

3) Paint and build my Blitzer Beetle

In the new year I have a few projects :-

Restore an Egress (going to make a start early and hopefully the Avante BS will be out by the time I'm ready to rebuild so I can get the pink wheels)

Restore a F201 (always wanted one of these and the one I have is in need of a good rebuild)

Finally finish my Lipo Brushless Optima Mid build (only got some anodised blue bits to fit and probably going to use B44 Lipo saddle pack supports for the battery)

Finally decide if I'm going to keep the TRF501x I bought recently. (Not sure why I bought it and the diffs are so exposed its not suitable for hooning - I don't really bash my cars but still) If I keep it I'm having the shell painted in the TRF colours professionally.

Hope the Wild One comes out by this time next year.

Here are mine:

1. Finish my mk1 sand scorcher. Need a few parts and the big job is to finish filling, sanding and painting the original body.

2. Finally start the restoration of my Hilux Toyota. It has been On the back burner since 1996. It was my first vintage purchase and I really need to get this one restored :)

3. Funco SRB. There have been a few members that have done these and they look so good. Mine plans to be something a little different.

4. j-Man Sand Rover. Need to strip and paint the body, might actually make a new race version based on the new re-re body.

5. Paint my original RC10 cadillac 6 gear box art colors. Also need to replace all the white parts with NIB parts.

6. Paint my RC10 graphite chassis championship edition. Still need to figure out the final colours for that one.

7. LWB Wild Willy. Need to finish the camo catalogue paint scheme. Already had to restart this one twice as it is so hard to get right with a proper airbrush. Let's hope 2012 proves a better year for that project.

8. Custom wild Willy crawler. This one is close but still needs a paint job and knowing me I will probably redo the entire chassis before this one is done.

9. Swap out the last of the used parts on my Top Force for NIB parts.

10. Build my Toyota Tundra - Finally.

I keep telling myself that I have to do all this before I take on anymore new projects but we will see.

James.

Lots I'd like to do, probably won't do a fraction of it though:(

1. Make 1 way roller units for all my hotshot based cars. This will probably be the only thing that gets done ....

2. New gearboxes for my steel king tiger with all steel gears.

3. Make some progress on the build of the 4wd tractor.

4. Make a custom chassis for my thundershot that I can use to add an extra gearbox to rear end to make it 6wd. Then I'd like to add 2 eZrun brushless motors and a 3S LiPo

5. Get an old Ultima Pro up and running.

6. Get another tamiya kit to build out of the box. No idea what it will be though. Already got a supershot. Have to wait and see what 2012 brings in the way of releases ......

If you manage to create a Pathfinder or Xterra, I'll buy all of them.

Cheers buddy. There's a couple more pics in the 'what have you done today' thread. Of course, if I wasn't so lazy I'd start a build thread... :)

Just found the photos - seldom look at the "what have you done today thread" as not always that interesting, though this is definitely an exception.

Neat work with the lights and great work on the interior, wish I had such skills. Looking forward to seeing it finished :)

Great projects for this winter season:

*Tamiya Toyota Tundra Build (Started)

*CPE Clod Buster Terminator Build (Started)

So three weeks on i thought i'd update what little progress i've made !!

Current Projects..

Tamiya Monster Beetle restoration - all parts cleaned ready for rebuild, body needs some minor repairs > zero progress !

Tamiya TL-01 based Bowler Wildcat, using a Kamtec ABS shell > progressing, body cut and almost ready for paint, paint present & ready, drafting out an interior too !

Brushless Tamiya SRB - including slipper clutch, ball diff etc - needs Kamtec shell cutting and painting > super champ steering now added, electrics fitted and tested OK on the bench. Still need to cut and paint the shell, but an also restoring a broken Rough Rider one too

Tamiya Super Champ restoration - using pargu anodized chassis plates, needs me to make a body from a Buggy champ one ! > not started stripping and cleaning yet, but I have several NIP parts on their way to me

Tamiya Nitro Thunder - being converted to 9T brushless > stripped it down, cleaned it all, boxed all the parts up in a recent shed tidy, leaves me to concentrate on other projects for now

Tamiya Bear Hawk - awaiting restoration, NIB body set > cleaned and rebuilt with TRF disc type wheels, new tyres. Electrics installed. Old body repaired and painted, waiting for paint to harden before buffing

Collect RC10T3 basher and Madcap from my mate - future projects ! > no change

Strip, clean and rebuild my Durga that's sat for 6 months without attention > no change :(

Traxxas 1/16 Slash on route, so will run that for a winter basher, maybe a few cheap mods ? > arrived, needed nothing, so charged it up and have run a few times - love it for its compact go anywhere useability

Tidy up King Cab, run it a few times and then sell it on.... > its down from the garage attic, so a better chance of seeing some action !

....and probably the easiset one of the lot and the one i've put off for 6 months - decal the TA03RS 911GT1 > no change :(
