Badboy 94 Posted January 6, 2012 I would like a 1:8 ansd 1:10 scale Meyers Manx Body without Damper recesses or with ugly shape such as the Parma ones from Lexan for the slash.Just like that: With hard top so you can put SS/RR rollcageholder on it as a new body for the SRB. Open inside for the radiobox and maybe some clever way to put driver+seat in there to cover the radiobox... Badboy
speedy_w_beans 4272 Posted January 6, 2012 Interested in any of these, preferably in Lexan, preferably for TB03/TA05 chassis with inboard suspension... Also, if you start making bodies, then you might want to make appropriate wheels as well. Grastens 2795 Posted January 7, 2012 I like the idea of the Toyota 2000GT! Personally, I would also enjoy seeing an Isuzu 117 Coupe on an M-type chassis... ... or a Toyota 7 for a direct-drive chassis, maybe the RM-01 (even if it looks like it belongs on an F103):
JackNed 0 Posted January 8, 2012 ToyKid, I hope your idea comes to fruition, there is definitely a demand for quality hard bodies but as you say costs will be high. With an evergrowing and well financed scale 4x4 scene a true Toyota FJ40 / V W Baja should be a contender both from a sales demand point of view and an achievable price point for you. Again more practically an Iconic American 4x4 body should be a success as the biggest Scale scene seems to be in your Country even if Italy remains the home of the most beautiful 1:1 Classics !! With regard to your comments re the Wrangler have you seen what Peppe over at Scale4x4 is making re mods. http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=118 Good Luck with your endeavours JackNed
Andyrt200 201 Posted January 9, 2012 + 1 for the BMW M1, that was my favourite scalextric car when I was little! This is one of my 1:1 toys a TVR Cerbera: That would be nice to see, unless it’s already made?

Toykid 596 Posted February 3, 2013 So it has been along time since I started this post but I have committed to make it happen in 2013. Some of you may have already seen my showroom updates i also thought I should post here as a build thread of sorts. Despite all the interest in road cars I decided to start with a SRB Manx, mostly because that is where my passion lies but also because companies like ABC are already doing such a good job of alternate bodies for exo stings chassis'. I am hoping I can post build pictures from my iPad, but if not I'll post more later when I get home. I have a number of ways I could bring there bodies to market so as I go I will be testing out a few ideas and it would be great to hears people's feedback. Toykid 596 Posted February 4, 2013 So Here is where I started. I used Rhino for Mac and re-created the re-release chassis to base the body off of: After building my first rough digital model I realized I needed to shorten the wheelbase (as Bruce did on the original Manx): Here where a couple of the real car reference shots I used for inspiration: 3rd round of the body got a lot closer thanks to comments from Matthias (Kokuzu) - he has a real 1:1 replica and is a master model maker, so I make sure I listen First look at the chassis details taking shape:
