Academy Road Runner

Hi, I am 22 years old and ever since I can remember my dad has always had this old rc buggy in the closet well the other day I was thinking about it so I went over to my parents house and rescued it from the dust bunnies! From what I can tell it is a roadrunner by academy. From what I read the Roadrunner II has gold rims mine has chrome so I am thinking it is a roadrunner I.The only thing throwing me off is the fact that all the servos and such say "Aristo Craft" but this does not look like any of the aristo craft buggys so I am guessing the roadrunner uses aristo craft receiver and servos, am I right? Well here is the deal the car has never had the transmitter or battery pack so I am hopping someone here can steer me in the right direction to get these items so I can test this rc I am going to give it a good cleaning today. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i'm pretty sure the road runners are grasshopper/hornet clones. any standard radio gear will work.

i have a "world engines" rockbuster which is also the same clone, it also came with aristo-craft gear, but anything will work.
