Daves956 157 Posted January 30, 2012 I'd have to say the lower chassis for the 956, not the Newmans. Same part # but different animals. Both are hard to get but the early one's the worst to get and the best to have.
KalEl63 695 Posted January 30, 2012 I'm back from the dead! That you are and in flesh too Just looking around for some TG10 Mk1 stuff as I am working on getting my old 1/8th Mini Cooper back from my mate and stuff for that seems rare but mind you early days of looking around to see what is about. europro975 75 Posted February 2, 2012 From dealing in Tamiya spares for the past 8 years, most of the above shows up a few times a year on ebay. The hardest parts to find I believe are: Clear/transparent chassis for the TL01 Clear/transparent chassis for M03 Clear/transparent gear boxes for TA03 plus certain 49xxx parts Antony
OCD 514 Posted February 2, 2012 Clear/transparent chassis for M03 This is new to me! Do you have pics or info on this one? I've seen the TL set around and own the TA03 set, but had no idea they did one for the M03!!! Rarest 49xxx part for me would be the 49032 M chassis WHITE-WALL tires- I think they only came on the Low Ride Pumpkin (which is rare enough on its own) but have never seen them anywhere else. Its embarrassing to think what I'd pay for a set if they ever appeared

Hibernaculum 933 Posted April 17, 2012 Find it difficult to believe that parts from cars released in the past 10-15 years are all that rare, compared to some other things? OK, maybe they are rare as they were in limited supply. But still, you are on the trail of things where the trail isn't that cold. What about when the trail is like liquid nitrogen... - Mugen Bulldog tyres NIP - Marui Shogun tyres NIP - Marui Hunter driver NIP - Tandy Golden Arrow bodyset (yes, this existed), tyres etc. - Kyosho Scorpion/Beetle 'Goodyear' tyres, or even the non-Goodyear block pattern (box art) tyres. - Kyosho VW Baja Bug (any NIP parts at all!) - Kyosho VW Baja Bug itself. Of course, then there are whole cars so rare they almost don't exist, like the LaTrax Hustler, Spica Roadrunner or the Nichimo Lancia Stratos. Believe me some of these really did have spare parts, but most likely we will all die before another packet is unearthed anywhere on the planet. Not that many people will care, as barely 1% of enthusiasts even know these cars H.
Sayer 742 Posted April 17, 2012 - Tandy Golden Arrow bodyset (yes, this existed), tyres etc. Came across a bunch of complete cars on the Bay recently so if parted out these may be less rare.
EddScott 134 Posted April 17, 2012 Those little damper mounts for an Egress are quite hard to get hold of. BF8 and BF9 I've contacted a couple of fabricators to have some reproduced. The Egress shock mounts are FRP not CF - although I've had 3mm thick copies made from CF.
tamiyafier 4 Posted April 18, 2012 Nearly all M-01 and M-02 spares/hopups are gone, especially the chassis specific hopups (e.g. sway bar kit, heat sink etc etc...) and B-parts. A set of B-parts is currently on eBay for thirty odd dollars!
Sayer 742 Posted April 18, 2012 Acoms 2.4GHz Micro Receiver (AP2400) Apparently I backed the wrong horse in this race as they seem to be being phased out everywhere, and nearly half the price of the complete set where they aren't...
