whenever i look at the picture of hotshot taken from the side of the car at the same eye level, the car looks so cool i want to start building one right away. i have a NIB kit, by the way...

but when i look at the picture of the very same car taken from the front and above, it looks so ugly it basically looks like a frog(the actual reptile, not the kit number 41 :) )

same for the Supershot and Boomerang and Fox and etc...

what do u think is a car that looks great from all the angles? opinions?

I know exactly what you mean - the hotshot looks amazing from the side at eye level, and also looks great from the rear but loses its appeal from other angles...

Personally I think the the only 4wd buggy that looks great from every possible angle is the original Avante. You also have to love the Hilux, Scorcher and 959 for their all round perfection!

HI!

If you have never drived that car so start built on the car right away. The only mod, you had to make is to put ballbearings in it and the 4 dampers and find an technipower (or technigold) motor and thats it then you have this superb car!!![:P] I CAN PROMISE YOU FUN DRIVIN......

A frog is not a reptile, ist's an amphibian. IF this was a biology forum I would tell you everything about poison arrow frogs but TC just isn't... [;)] [:P]

I always heared a lot of stories about the SS. I found it very odd looking when I found out what that nosecone looked like. It's quite funny though, not necesarrily ugly. I also thought the tires would be a lot fatter looking, but the balloon tires are funny. [:D]

Also, the Hi-lux rear cab is quite rectangular, which I don't find very beautifull. But for some reason it appeals to me. It's just how they made cars those days - rectangular shapes were modern those days... And they need to be a little rectangular to offer the greatest surface/room. [;)]

IF you are very worried about this problem: get a Striker. In that case you know for sure that from every angle it looks just as ugly. [:o)]

I got a Hot Shot I - but I lost it, sorry.

I think you are right. Hot Shock looks cool only from one or two angles. But I know uglier vintage Tamiya cars. [8D]

Now i still own a Hot Shot II , ballbearings, tamiya ESC, Tamiya hop-up wing (spoiler).

I drove that car with 8,4volts and a Mabuchi RX540VZ (aka Technigold???). Well, it was really nice. But the tieres wear off in no time [:(] Then I tried my Dynatech that I usually use with my Hilux(KingCab clone) ........ what should I say, to much for this car. [8)]

I tried the Dynatech with my Midnight Pumpkin as well and 8,4volts.... forget it. It is undriveable. Finally the Dynatech got back to where it belongs, Toyota Hilux Monster Racer :)

I like my Enzo Ferrari, it looks good from any angle see my show room for photos.[8D]

I rather like the Hot Shot and Super Shot. They do look a little odd from the top, but I always loved the box art for both.

Again, it's a matter of personal taste, but I find the Ferrari Enzo rather ugly. Especially the front. It's a shame, because the Tamiya 1/24 Enzo kit looks AMAZING technically. The detail and construction method are incredible for an out-of-the-box kit.

I still think the F50 is the best looking Ferrari ever made, closely followed by the 360 and the TR512.

hi, this slightly off the topic, and for that i apologize, but IMHO the F50 looks awful (for a ferrari) the older F40 much better, and the 360 and 355 for that matter. As for the Enzo, i saw it at the NEC and it looks great, it strange looking, but in a good way. I like the look of my Astute, at the moment the rear wing is off until i find the bits to secure it. Hope it looks as good with the wing.

Bill!! how can you say that? The only thing I didn't like about the superchamp was the tires. That why I went with the rough rider tires. when you detail out the body, it is really impressive. there are a lot of subtle details. Jim, YOUR Super Champ looks GREAT! [^] The box-stock one I built years ago certainly didn't! The body sat too high, in relationship to the small tires, the wheelbase looked too long, compared to the narrow wheel track, the rear shock reservoir was a silly gimmick, and the car weighed a TON! [V] Back then...I polished-up the aluminum, threw away the body, and painted the radio cover and used it as the main body w/driver inside. Believe it or not, I "thought" it looked better that way, back then! Of course, now, I'd never butcher-up any car so rare! [:0] Knowing all of this..... I can STILL butcher-up a Striker and sleep at night![:D] That's why I said I like Strikers and think they don't deserve such a bad rap. [:P] No offense was intended.
