Help to identify a model

This looks like an 1/8 scale of some description, i can see a black formula one type shell in the background.

a work friend emailed me this and asked if i wanted it, but i got no idea on what its is or value

Looks like an old serpent 1/8th or an early PB ?

Yup its a vintage PB Alpha from 1981

Probably but only to a very select group, its quite rare and pant cackingly fast like an 1/8th Serpent. The wing and twin brake disks are definitely not for show, plus a spare horn for a unicorn is probably easier to source than parts so a runner only if you are A: talented (do not crash) B: Willing to wait patiently for parts to come up. But if you do run it, it will be the most exciting thing to do with your kecks still on.

ok i get the picture.. sounds like another one for the loft, you now just in case i may need in the future..

But he alos has an SS ( described as beatle with 506 on the door!! ) my heart skipped a beat, and he has the box for it.."is it worth anything he says?"

i said no, with all these carbon fibre cars around, the old metal ones are scrap now.. i felt so guilty.. for about 3 secs

I may just have hit the holy grail, we all dream of the day an SS comes up and the owner dont want it..
