540 Motors that fit Vintage SRB's

Hi guys,

Without modding the gearcase, are there any new motors out there that will fit a vintage SRB ? Something lightly tuned, like a Sport Tuned equivalent.

Also, anything new out there slightly smaller diameter than normal and that will fit ?

I'm trying to find something that I can use with the Rogue Element motor cover part (the dead short between tabs is another problem I'll have to solve, but that's for another day!).

The Black Sport Tuned will have the same "shorting out" problem with the REC motor backplate.

The cover is for a shelfer only, in my opinion.

the ony way around this i think is to fit a brushless motor with the wires exiting at the top .

It's not correct - the Sport Tuned will not fit a vintage SRB without modifying the gearcase unfortunately.

The cover is for a shelfer only, in my opinion.

I think I can probably fix that problem, if I can find a motor that can fit.

I guess I'm back to sourcing a vintage motor of the right dimensions.

Anyone know of any?
