Hello folks,

i recently came in contact with a new built wheeler (not a beater[;)]). i put in a notice its up for sale and trade in the traderoom but have one problem, many people have emailed me with trade and monetary offers but i dont know the value to make an appropriate trade. can some1 help me out with a basic dollar amount? i know these things never ever have been on ebay (i checked). 200? 250? 150?, please let me know, Thanks,

TBF.

If nobody knows, list it on ebay with a massive reserve. Whatever it gets up to is going to be its maximum value so take off a percentage and thats your answer. I know it will cost money to list but it will find the value for you. Just an idea.

I'd say if someone offers something that you would like more than the Wheeler in trade then take it and don't worry about the money element. If you get something you want and they get something they want then its a good trade. The whole point is you are trading not selling - if you just want the top amount of money for it then stick it on ebay.

The big downside for me of selling rather than trading is that when I get money for cars it just disappears on mundane housey stuff, food and petrol and then you are just left one car down, and having to justify taking money out of your account to buy something else later. Straight swaps are the perfect solution.

just my 2 cents...

of course thats true, but what if i liked say "the mad bull", you wouldnt advise on that trade would you?.,( i know i wouldnt no matter how much some1 like it).

so i just dont want to seem ridiculous asking someone for something and it be insulting to them or myself, im not too concerned with the money aspect.

I stand by what I say, if you don't want the wheeler and you wanted a mad bull it would be a good trade for both concerned (assuming you paid less for the wheeler of course than a NIB mad bull would cost you [;)])

I've been on both ends of a deals like this - I trades a pair of SS wipers for a SS radio box i had, and another time I swap a bunch of parts that were worthless to me for a wranger jeep! Both times, both parties where very happy with the deals made and no money changed hands.

Loopjuice, I traded the Wheeler for a Kyosho usa-1 nitro (my third one). It was too nice to pass up, brand new custom aluminum gleeming all over it, had to have it [:D]. Sorry i wasnt prompt responding to your emails, was doin a bit of camping this weekend.

Gotta agree chap - if you want something, and have something you don't want, one is a fair price for the other.

Say i have a new built rough rider, i wanna trade it, my friend has a mad bull and offers a trade, am i going to take it?, no. Im going to sell the rough rider and buy 4 madbulls. Thats the point im trying to make, if its something i want im willing to make a sacrafice in the price but not to the extent that i would be doing myself a grave injustice in terms of money.[;)]
