Intriguing. I hope it's a new rally car chassis. I love rally and would like a real rally chassis for competition.

I'm pretty sure it is. I just hope it's a completely new chassis - sounds like it is from what I'm reading right now, but of course based on the reversible suspension arm system. It sounds really promising, let's hope Tamiya can surprise us positively!

And eh, just as a side note: Have you noticed the FF03? It says 'newly designed gear case with a built-in Giyadefu'

Gear diff, anyone? Please? ;) Perhaps then there will finally be a gear diff for the TRF201 too (The Kyosho Ultima DB/SC one fits with some modifications, but it's expensive buying all the seperate pieces).

Yeah, that would be a gear diff for the FF-03

Can someone post the original Japanese site please?

Reading the translated English gives me a headache. But, it looks like it may be front motor 4WD belt driven... weird.

This website has a price already. 32340 yen ($400US) RRP

List price 19404yen ($240US)

Update: reading the Japanese on the the site above TELLS me the motor is a front overhang type!!!

Oh and apparently the kit number is 58526... even though it's supposed to be limited?

Without wanting to read too much into an upcoming release, I think this COULD be very promising news when you bear in mind that there were rumours the re-re trends would end with a really big one. We've just had the Bruiser, and now we're getting news of what looks like an entirely new chassis. Could the big T finally be back on their game and this be the beginning of a load of genuinely new stuff rather than re hashed rubbish? (Yes I know that's a bit harsh, but I'm sure you can sympathise)

Sounds like this might be a better chassis for drifting than rallying with the front motor overhang; the weight is distributed towards the front and with a belt it should be relatively easy to do some countersteer modifications...
