I've got a mint Fighter Buggy i've been trying to sell for a couple of weeks now with no luck.

Its been on eBay 3 times and has had no interest and no offers!

Anyway, i've also got an eZrun 5.5t set up sitting there doing nothing.

Is it worth sticking it the virgin fighter buggy thats never been run? Obviously i'd change the tyres for some street ones and stick some oil shocks on ;)

What do you reckon?

If done responsibly and very carefully, not a bad idea at all. I remember reading about a member here who dropped a fairly-hot setup into his Rookie Rabbit (similar to the Fighter Buggy) and it all worked well, though it did take a fair amount of planning and modification. No idea about brushless, though.

... And here is the link.

i'm just not sure whether I want to get the old girl dirty and scratche

TA-Mark may have run a 4600kV system, but he's normally excellent at programming the ESC/motor and probably detuning it via the software.

Having seen Dan12's experiences and the long episodes on this forum, he finally called it a day with 3980kV brushless and a 6 cell NiMH.

It'll wheelie or even backflip without careful initial throttle, and anything beyond straight runs will end up in tears as the buggy just isn't made for any real speed.

Hmm... That would make it a lot more believable, especially since he was running a Li-Po battery with it too.

Nope. Running on default settings beside the motor timing set to lowest, and reverse/brakes set to 40% because it's 2WD. It's truly nuts to drive and very fast. Easily seen in the photos by how it can lift the dirt on take off.

It's by no means standard in the suspension and steering department. With the standard suspension and steering geometry it would be uncontrollable.

Someone needs to buy it then before I get stuck in!

To be fair my blitzer was totally nuts with the 5.5 fitted, and that was heavily modded to take the power. 50mph + with a 3s lipo. I've settled with a 9t and 2s but its still pretty insane off road!
