I'am a bit lost here . Do you want to retain a 3 speed box or replace it with a single speed unit ? If its a single speed unit do you want a 1.1 ratio or something else ? If you can tell us more then we can offer more advice .

i want to get rid of the 3 speed gearbox and replace it with transmission from a rock crawler such as the ones listed above but i dont which will fit inside the chassis rails, i think something like the axial one looks good

ok in that case i think the rc4wd killer would do the job well . It will certainly fit within the rails . You will have to make up a simple cross member and i'd recommend using one both top and bottom . It has the advantage of looking very scale too. Ratio is 1.1

i did look at the transfer box but you still need motor and gearbox and the room to fit both. it does look very good though

ok in that case go for the R2 with dig . if you want a serious crawler having the dig function is worth it . the motor can easily be mounted direct to the rails with alloy mount and nuts/bolts . There more than enough room for a custom drive train .if you want to go al in you could even fit motor on axel units and have no need for a gearbox and drive shafts at all .
