but i want use one brand so that i have one programme card..

i have bought the hobbywing units and they are ok but have fans on top and i can see these getting damaged.

*what brand can u reccommend that is reliable and well made?* will be used for bashing and some recreational track racing. i dont plan to enter the world's just yet!

i have looked at castle and LRP so far. What else can u suggest that do not have fans and are waterproof

Cost wise within the uk i'd go with the LRP. Castle are great units but when you factor in the import duty and royal mails fees i feel your better off buying within the uk . You also have to consider service backup . Do you want the hassel of maybe having to send a unit back to the states if something gos wrong ? Your other option is Mtronix as sold by Modelsport . These are made in Otley where Modelsport are located so service back up is a peice of cake .

Unless you have clearance issues with the shell I don't see any issues with the hobbywing ones with fans. You can buy fans for a few pounds so not really an issue replacing them if they get damaged. As you already have hobbywing units I'd stick with them, unless you want something more sophisticated in the programming stakes. For bashing use you really can't go wrong.
