I'm trying to keep all the main action together, so there are tables inside, then people trading from carboots just outside, and the area beyond that people that are just parking. If you are trading from your carboot then just tell them on the gate and they'll let you in.

What I'm trying to avoid is filling that inner carpark with people that are actually trading from tables inside meaning that inner carpark is just parked closed cars, forcing others that are trading from cars out into the 'outer carpark' It will just break up the flow of the event if that happens.

There are quite a few real proper clean toilets on site. Please respect them - the ones at kidderminster sometimes ended up looking that they were imported directly from glastonbury.

Really looking forward to this. I'm travelling down tomorrow night and staying with relatives nearby so the morning drive won't be too arduous.

The Holiday Buggy I've entered into the races is still only half built, infact it's first ever run will probably be 9am on Saturday. :D

Any idea how much the raffle tickets cost?

Couple of Question`s,

I didnt realise that the tables where for trading, So I will relinquish my requisition for a table on Sunday.

What`s the deal on Lipo`s?, hard cased only? or are soft case OK? And what about charging? Do we need a Lipo safety bag?

Come on chap lets have some optimism, and as the main running area is indoors what difference does it make anyhow ;).

Caravan is cleaned and ready for tomorrow, all the cars are checked and working, batteries charged, Boxes of stuff for sale ready and priced.. should be a great weekend.

<p>Sorry BiggusDitchus, It's not putting me off at all, I was planning to come on Sunday, but changed plans now and coming on Saturday instead.

I have a new car now, if I still had the beetle that I had at Snetterton it might have put me off, but I will be warm and dry when I get there and I did say there is plenty space indoors.

I didn't mean to put anyone else off, sorry if I have.

I am looking forward to meeting you all and saying hello again to anyone I met at Snetterton in 2009.Edit 2Add, And when do they ever get the weather forecast right?.

Re Lipos' For insurance, all lipos should be charged in sacks. You are also accepting all responsibility for any damage caused to yourself, your equipment, others and theirs and also any damage done to the venue as a result of your equipment.

(Really they sound like the sort of thing I'd just avoid bringing it it were me making the decision - the races are not the sort of thing where the adding risk is worth any improvment they might bring, remembering there are not winners or lap counters etc)

Took my monster beetle out for a test run today prior to its race on Saturday :D and it's good job I did as after only 5 mins I broke three parts and discovered my bodge job rear body posts are a bit rubbish :( all will be sorted tomorrow evening though, might need to borrow body posts of my shelfer.

This weekends gonna be great :D

Don't forget its hard standing track, so don't run bodies you would cry if they broke. If Mr Nice turns up with his carpet we will put those down in the two main accident black spots.

Please use the hashtag '#TC2012' if you are writing or posting pics about this weekends event, whether thats on facebook, instragram, flickr, youtube, twitter or even on Tamiyaclub itself. I'm looking to pull all these posts together at some point and this will help me find them. Thanks - please let anyone else thats going know.

just found out from the venue, as with most venues, that its NO SMOKING indoors. Didn't think to ask before as I don't smoke. There are lots of places to smoke outside though which still give a view as to what is happening indoors. This is the law and will have to be enforced I'm afraid.

Excellent! I'm only running Dynastorm I think and my son is running his VW Gold (with lights Oooooooo!) I've just not time to sort any more out. Plus just not enough space - just transporting the 'track' today completely filled every little bit of my Freelander.

I've got a batch of 'nearly' runners though if anyone wants to purchase a project to get going this weekend.

Hi Netsmith, Not sure if you were at Snetterton when I was there, but everybody laid down their cars on the track with the aim of completing a line of cars all the way round the track. Possibly the largest collection of Tamiya in the U.K at one time. Somebody then filmed it all with a camera car.

Thats an impressive turnout. Snetterton was always a nice track, Bartons is going to be a bit rougher around the edges ;) probably closer to the first TC meet up at clumber park for those that remember it.

If someone want to organise a 'conga' its fine by me - there is a gap in both days where there was supposed to be a 3spd race but no takers (thats a sad day).

The closes thing we got to the conga at the last snetterton meet I arranged was this http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=9023&sid=1

We never really got very lucky with the weather there, remember the first year I nearly froze to death.

The shot of Snetterton just reminded me, there is a raised bit of ground at one of the the 'track' for drivers to stand on but its only a couple of feet high. If you want a higher view then you'll need to bring something to stand on. Just to slip back into insurance speak again, there will be no standing on tables or chairs at the venue. You are welcome to stand on anything you bring but you do so at your own risk and accept responsibility for any damage which happen to you or anyone else as a result of using it.

Cheers

Chris if you like you could drive one of my cars I'm bringing enough.

We have been in Nottingham now for the past few hours. We're going to book into the hotel soon. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the weekend, I feel like a 8 year old kid at Christmas lol.
