Greetings:

Roughly a week ago I was out bashing with my F103 at a schoolyard when someone asked me: "Is that a Tamiya?" It was the first time someone in my neighbourhood was able to make an educated guess about my car. Intrigued, I had a chat with him about Tamiya cars, and he mentioned that he owned a number of them, most in boxes, including two Super Champs which he kept. He introduced himself as Brian (Bryan?), living in the Bayview area in Toronto.

The question I wanted to ask was: is anybody on this board living in said area in Toronto? In the back of my mind, he could have been a TamiyaClub member, though I never ended up asking if he was a member of the board. As a result, I thought I would ask here...

Be careful he could be after your RC as he is living in the poorest section of the city. He likely attended UC or Crescent School for the low income families and on weekends wasting away at the Granite Club and tries to rip off the seniors there on Thursday Seniors night by claiming they damaged his car in the parking lot. I know, some Brian tried to claim my S500 scratched his bumper. I am at the Jane and Finch area and I go to Danforth Tech for the last 8 years, do you want to meet? All kidding aside, is good to meet someone also interested in RC and Tamiya regardless of where he lives or school attended. .

Jane and Finch? Will you be bringing your standard issue gun to the meeting?

Good to find out about more RC fans in the TO area though.

No, I don't pack heat when I go to the meeting, but I bring two reliable friends along, which you may know, call Smith & Wesson?

BTW, where are the RC tracks around TO or most people just run on school or church properties or just inform of there house?
