don't mean to pour cold water on your project, but is it worth it with the re-re given is the same? as the original or almost the same? I guess with the HST bumps up the cost of a re-re NIB  On the other hand is nothing like giving an old friend a new lease to life.

This is what happens when you leave the wild one in a TC car park to long :P .

But at least you have a great project & they are fun to drive .

Once people start breaking up kits to sell off parts, and rere parts become available, you're looking at at least $100-$150 to get it to where you probably want it. Still slightly cheaper than a rere kit, but you won't have the fun of cracking open a new box and building a kit.

To me it's all about the original as you can't beat history & yes a nib re re is great . But a NIB original is even better . Look how long they have been around for & some are mint nib . Great times to be had , new or old .

I know what you mean, although I'm no purist I just want to enjoy the car whether it's 20 years old or brand new. In cooltoy's case, he has a hybrid fav/wild one so it shouldn't really matter if he slaps some new parts on there right?

I still have all the original parts for it.. Roll cage has lot of scrapes on it.. Given the price of the fav parts i had to get a new cage for it. The front piece would make the chassis more solid i think.. :) compared to the lexan version. I actually have some original spares for it too.. :) :) There is a few of them here.. so one runner will be nice with some upgrades or re re parts... :D Also got some of the dogbones for it.. Maybe i should do the frog gearbox mod?
