Thinners for lexan bodies?

I am tring to get a hold of some thinners in the UK to airbrush an R/C body. Most of the Model shops have acrylic or cellulose thinners,but cannot tell me which to use on an R/C body! I have tried 'Modelsport UK' and they only sell rattle cans and say that Acrylic thinners will damage the lexan/polycarbonate,so is Cellulose ok????

  In the linked image, I've simply moved the bar forward until it is centered directly over the rear shock tower (approx. 10.72mm) and kept the same height. Is this what you had in mind?
