Mackiatoe 0 Posted July 14, 2012 Hi all. I know this may sound silly, but I've actually forgotten how to remove the protective film off a polycarbonate body. I recently bought a new body shell for my Brat off of ebay, and it was a Tamiya-made one. I have of course done it before with the body that came with the kit, but I can't seem to find an edge on the body. Any help on how to do it? Thanks!
TA-Mark 195 Posted July 14, 2012 Are you sure there's one on there and it hasn't already been peeled off or never had one to start with? I've had a few Tamiya bodies that never had a protective film. Usually you can get a spot started easily by rubbing your finger accross one of the cut edges.
WillyChang 1814 Posted July 14, 2012 Brat lexan shell is a recent appearance, they all had film. if you don't keep long nails, easiest way is to cut a slip of sticker vinyl and tape it half over any cut edge of the film - use as a tab to lift up the corner
