This is a beast!!!

Max

Its a Beast alright  . It weighs more than any other rc i've ever driven yet performs really well . Its also very stable with the wheels actually being wider than the length of the body .

Looks great bromvw. Id love to see some "topless" pics and a running vid, bet it's a hoot to drive.

I'll see what i can do . Bit limited by the camara we have

I should just post a link to this in the "Jugg or TXT which is better?" thread.

Thats no problem with me :D . IMO this is a cheaper way to build a monster . I'd say its not as capable as a TXT but certainly a match for a Jugg

And what about the half shafts?

Max

i used blackfoot extreme CVD's from 3racing . So far they have held up ok. To extend the axels in order to fit the big rims i had to use 19mm hex extenders . I used some blue thread lock to ensure they dont come lose .

Hi, where did you find these CVD's from 3Racing? I didn't find them on their website...

WOW this is really cool

Makes me want to do this to my Modded Blackfoot as well

it started out as a wild dagger Jeff but there's no reason why a re re blackfoot could'nt be done the same way by adding another gearbox and motor . They both use the same chassis .

Hey bromvw,

Do you have a picture of the truck sitting on a flat surface? I want to see what angle the A-arms are at to compare to my BFX.. I have acquired a set of larger wheels to see if I can make a monster as well. I just hope I don't break anything.. LOL

Tires I have:

Just need to work out the adapters

Jeff my laptop crashed last weekend and i lost all my photos . I'll try to take some shots asap but i'am on nights till the middle of next week . The adapters are the issue as you say . Then you will need hex extenders - give fussion a look . With the alloy shock tower extenders and other alloy suspension parts i used ( GPM parts from asiatrees ) the A arms sit at a resonable angle . Glad you like it Jeff .

You guys are bad for me. Now I'm thinking about making a mini version of these with a Tyco Bandit body, TLT wheels and a Traxxas 1/16 eRevo from Best Buy.

Thats w i d e Jeff :D

Looks like even the Junfac 19mm extenders might not be enough.

What hex drive size are those wheels ? 12mm - 12mm extenders are fairly easy to find, 12-14mm convertors not so easy but they do exist

The Clod body is a must! Great the big wheels! No way the little dampers so I hope they are only for the mock up.

;-)

Max

Mock up to how mine might look:

The Hex drive on the wheels look to be 17mm.. I found several 12mm to 17mm Hex adapters but most are 30mm wide.. Those are about $34

Junfac has these at $32 and are 25mm wide

Have you considered the gearing? With the bigger wheels you may well be looking at cooking the motors. Does look good though, I love the wheels/tyres I have them on my Mod Clod.

I have to agree on the quality of Junfac products.

I got around the gearing issues with 55t crawler motors . they seem to be fine temp wise .

Well, I have not actually bought these just yet ( Tires) still debating if I want to try it.

My other thought was just use Wheely King tires which will give me another 1/2 inch of DiameterSorry Bromvw, did not mean to derail the thread :)
