I'm getting increasingly miffed with eBay sellers who incorrectly advertise items. I can forgive the odd person who perhaps thinks they have a complete original vehicle for sale, been in the attic for years type sale, only to find one or two makeshift parts have been added over previous years of use - i expect that if i buy a used vehicle that obviously needs some fettling from the photos posted

The Monster Beetle I bought in Autumn had 4 yellow cva shocks, two springs were correct and the other two were so strong they could have held up the Olympic stadium ! I expect these sort of things as part of a whole vehicle sale to be honest so no great issue.

However I've since bought two sets of used Monster Beelte shocks, and neither of the items are correct. The first full set had two correct rear springs, two oddball front springs and a bit of ingenuity in their internal build !; the latest set of four have two correct rear springs , one correct front spring and one front spring thats about 4 turns too long.

I wouldn't mind if they were advertised as 'CVA shocks' but when sellers advertise them as Monster Beetle units they should be correct. Unclear photos don't help either !

I know I could contact the seller but there's little point - relatively small value purchase price, and I'd rather keep the shock bodies than return the whole lot. Its just blooming annoying waiting for parts to arrive for a build only to discover you are still at first base a week later :(

In hindsight I'd have been better off buying a new MB rod bag/springs - I now have 12 'Monster Beetle' CVA shock units and still only 1 front spring
