manta magic !

been a while since i have done any much on the rc home front .. the sas landy has stalled due to scale issues , the body i bought looks like a 1/8th body on tthe tl01 chassis , just way too big .

so , i was looking around i found a neglected old manta ray on fleabay , got it cheap .

turns out to be a half completed rebuild of an old manta .. just have to finish it off .. it needs a few little bits but it looks like it was a parts donor car . new tyres are on their way ..

I know not everyone likes the look but I love running mine, parts are cheap and it's not too compacted that you need a week to strip and rebuild when something breaks. Great runner cars IMO

i finaly got around to taking a pic or 3 of the finished manta . it was missing a few important bits like the all the gear shafts out of the gear boxes , the out drives for both boxes , the diff gears on both boxes , the body mounts , dog bones , drive shaft and most screws , not much ! .. .

after digging around in my vast collection of bits and pieces all i needed to buy were the diff gears , a shaft kit and one set of bones ( thanks for rthe set of outdrives and drive shaft mcwee ! ) . i didn't realize how many little bits and pieces i had till i looked ! but thankfull i had them .. and i now know what i have ! ..lol

i put on new tyres to finish the look as i think the buggy was result of an over hall to repair it but it got out of hand , only about 30% of the buggy seems used , the rest in new . i would have liked a silver manta like the box art but the green body is in beaut condition so i will live with it ..
