Assembling my new BUllhead re re which has the TEU-106BK twin motor esc.

Will the low voltage Life cutoff correspond with my lipo ? I know they are two different technologies (I think) ?

I have a novak external lipo cutoff but am too lazy to solder it al together if I can avoid it.

Thoughts ?

A LiFe cutoff voltage (~2.5V/cell) is lower than a LiPo cutoff voltage (~3.2V/cell). If you allow a LiPo to discharge all the way down to a LiFe cutoff voltage, you risk damaging it. Options:

1) External LiPo cutoff can be used with the TEU-106-BK, as you mentioned.

2) Different ESC with internal LiPo cutoff threshold.

3) Just run NiMH with the TEU-106-Bk. The LiFe cutoff voltage level is roughly compatible with a NiMH discharge threshold (~0.9V/cell).

For anyone with a twin motor set up that wants a alternate to Tamiya the Assault sniper RV 12 from modelsport is lipo compatable and can cope with two 27t motors . All you have to do is make up some y leads for the + / - motor feeds .
