Dude, that's *way* too sorted. You must be able to find stuff really quick! You'll never get yourself any quality "shed" time if you're that well organised... :P

Seriously though - I've got a few organisers like that - it's the bigger parts that cause me problems. Can't find a box with a section big enough for an SRB front bumper...

i have about 7 shoes boxes that hold the bigger parts like gear box halves and chassis's , a 20 liter tub that holds just the tamiya wheels and tyres , a 2' x 1' 1' box that holds that other asortted tyres , 1 large postage box that holds shockies , lights , msc , servos and assorted smaller stuff , a big plastic compartment box for motors and esc's , a 12 compartment draw set that holds little things like screws , small tools , funny things , electrical things , drills , heat shrink and zip tyes , shockie mounts , tye rod ends , that sort of fiddlely stuff and , ahh , half the spare bed in the '' work shop '' is covered with rc bodies , transmitters ..lol

You need a trunk locker, a plastic tote the size of a footlocker meant to organize the trunk of your 1:1 car.

Trunk locker full of big parts

7 small organizers

1 box of ali, steel and brass shaped pieces

2 foot square box of tires and wheels

4 model boxes of decals and paperwork

3 shoe boxes full of car specific spares

5 ESC boxes of overflow

2x2x1.5 foot box of just paints and thinners

3 radio set spares in original boxes

2 tall kitchen garbage bags of spare bodies

If I had it all in one place to take a picture I'd probably have a better understanding of too much. So I'll leave it all scattered and hidden from view.

My is about the same, except half of the case is for tools. But if one thinks about it these cases are more for parts rather than for tools. What tool can fit into a 40mm x 400mm compartment. Mind you some are with the adjustable compartments but is really not a tool case or tool box. :P

I have an old Quality street tin and a wooden box (originally for 4 bottles of nice Claret :D ) full of SRB spares, some rather worse for wear but usuable in an emergency. I dare say there is enough to make 85% of a chassis if i wanted to.

I have a cardboard box (2' x 1.4' x 1') full of wheels n tyres , after selling off a load of wheels a few months back

Hardly vintage spares but a 45 litre storage box full of spray paints, and another 4 bottle wine box with electrics (servos, RX, motors, ESCs).

Other vintage spares left over from rebuilds/restorations are stored in the individual storage boxes with the cars (Avante, Egress, Avante 2001, Vanquish, Astute , Hotshot etc etc)

You are right it should be called a spare parts case/box for tiny bits..:-)
