Why Associated? No special reason, simply because it looks good.

Right one is original.

Left one is Tamiya #53267, both front and rear for light weight.

Front shock tower. The dampers are Tamiya #54028.

I really like the blue Boomerang/Bigwig front knuckles!

The TA03 ball differentials are lighter than the TA01/02 ones.

You miss the universal joints at rear end. ;-) B)

rear universal joints are fine to me.

A few years ago, I borrowed my friend's Top Force equipped with front one-way,

I ran it for a while and was really shocked by its performance.

Since then, I desire to have front one-way set but haven't got a chance to have it. :(

That one should be center one-way.

My friend uses this.

You're right ... funny how it's in the front gearbox and it's called "centre".

Does the 4WD one above fit in the TF diffs? Or do you need to use TA03 diffs?

I've never used the one in your picture... does anyone know if the front and centre "feel" different to drive?

Of course, they are different.

Equipped with center one-way, the front differential is still working.

Equipped with front one-way, there is no front differential.

Yes of course, I just wonder what that difference feels like on a TF because I have not tried it. Does it fit the TF diff?

>>I asked my friend. He said it fitted, no modification.

Front one-way is like a "spool" on power, and like 2WD when braking

Center one-way is like regular 4WD on power, and has a little more drag at the front than 2WD when braking.

The Top Force diff should be a ball differential. The front one way unit fits inside a bevel gear diff (TA01/TA02/TA03/DF01) in place of the bevel gears.

The centre one way for the DF01 Top Force chassis is called a Manta-Ray Torque Splitter (in djmcnz's link).
