These came on a Wild Willy 2 from eBay

shocks.jpg

They are ~55mm length

Alloy bodies

Screw on plastic spring clamps - CRP esque ??

Oil filled , albeit aeration method as filling them completely with oil results in no movement

Screw in bottom of shock body contains outer seal ring and inner seal on damper shaft

Piston head is a solid chrome plated steel disc, ca 1mm thickess, but approx 3mm down the shaft is another ridge and between this and the end of the piston is a spring and a black plastic disc

I'd just like to know the manufacturer - they actually work very well on the WW2, nice spring rate and damper action

Thanks in advance

If they aren't Kyosho then they're the spitting image of them. I've parted out a few just for those shocks. Icarus comes to mind and similar on the front of the vanning too. Hope that helps

I think you are correct with Kyosho Dave - i suspected they might be as the clamp rings are very similar to the ones on my Gallop MkII. I think they may be from a more on-road variant though ?

They're the right size for the Icarus I parted out and all the Kyoshos I've seen had the spring on the top so they fill the opposite of most shocks. Another plus is they only leak if you store the car shiney side down. :D
