Bromvw,

I was thinking about this and was doing some web searching and found this:

f350articshot1.jpg

on Scale 4x4 http://www.scale4x4r...read.php?t=6565

He used TL-01 Suspension Arms (shorter) which give it more of a scaler look, which I kind of like.. Especially with using the Clod Body. brings the wheels in quite nicely

I have another couple ideas for Clod wheels I might try, but I am at the point I want to just build a WR-01 from parts but it will be 2wd and a 3rd WR-01 RC in the house

Excellent info guys! Thank you! I ordered a twin detonator this morning. This will be my winter project. It will definitely not stay stock for long. I did some research on google and found a user here that built one to my liking. User "backtomyroots" has built his exactly how I'd like mine. Even down to the tires and wheels.

He mentioned a carbon chassis he obtained from Germany. I just sent an email to those guys using a translator, hope I get a reply, lol.

Again, thanks for all the help guys, and I will post as many pics as possible during the build!

Cheers! :)

What mods are you thinking of?

I did it myself from a carbon 2mm plate and some machinery.

Not available on the market, sorry.

Max,

Where did you get your carbon chassis plates?

Thanks Max..Jeff, I plan on aluminum control arms, stronger axles, a carbon chassis, waterproof electronics, g made piggyback shocks, wheels/tires, and motors.

Any suggestions on motors? I know I need a zero position motor for the rear. I was planning on something with some pep, but still enough torque to get through mud and snow.

Thanks again fellas, you've all been a massive help!

i've found the rc4wd 35t motors to be a good compromise betwwen torque and speed . Fit bigger wheels and the speed is excellent .

The build is coming along nicely, thanks again guys! I went with a Traxxas waterproof esc and servo. All my control arms are in, waiting to be installed, body is painted, and chassis is built.

I'll be posting pics soon!

Ok..so maybe some of you can help with my teething problems..I'm using aluminum TL-01 hubs front and rear, with all the aluminum available for the dagger/detonator. My front axles are popping out, and I've bent one, so the car is down. Stock axles are 76.5mm. I'm assuming I need longer ones. Any ideas? I tried DT-01 axles with joints but they were still too short. Maybe another source other than Tamiya?? Thanks in advance.

Thank you. The job is rough and not yet finished. I made more progress on it, installed carbon fiber front servo plate, servo and links and front body mounts.

Now need another carbon fiber sheet to make the rear servo plate.

Have now new pictures but I could do it if you all want to see the progress.
