I'am hopefully getting a Heng Long Walker Bulldog this christmas from my better half . Its the full option version with smoke and sound and the metal upgrades . It looks like a decent quality item . The only thing but bugs me is the quality of the sound . I know that replacing the cheap crappy speaker for a better quality one makes a huge differance but what really bugs me is that i want a proper 'blast' sound when it fires . Seems daft having the recoil without it . Any advice as to how to improve this and if its possiable to somehow add some form of flash unit to the end of the barrel ?

Cheers Arron

The Heng long does have a firing sound when it fires. If you have an idea for a blast light source, wiring it in would be easy. It sounds funny but the biggest problem the sound system has is the old smoke unit. It's a mechanical air pump and at full voltage it's loud. The proportional ones take care of the problem.

The bulldog has a pretty good sizes flash suppressor so mounting any LED you choose would be easy. Then do the dollhouse tape down the barrel and mantlet to the inside and run it with the recoil switch on the gun itself.

On the bottom center of the transmitter are 3 switches. Engine start, machine gun and recoil without firing. They are all just for sound effects, I'd give it a try before changing it.

Hi Arron,

The flash unit is easy just buy one,

Heng Long do a flash unit for the I/R battle tanks which is just a plug in unit,

its not made to use with the BB system as the wires normaly run down the inside of the barrel but if you run the wires along the bottom of the barrel on the outside you should be able to make it work,

just out of intrest the guys that sell them usualy make about 100% prifit on each one LOL :D

WARNING: High tension flash units use extreamly high ampage and caution should be used when fitting and useing them.
