Dyna Storm Original vs. Re-release

Just an observation. I finally bought myself a Dyna Storm tonight. It is a re-release new built: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...gory=44022&rd=1 and I went on the TC site to see who else had one. I only found one member under the listing for the re-release. I then went under the kit number for the original and found that the majority of members are listing both versions of the car under the original kit number. I'm sure this is an insignificant item in the Tamiya Universe but I was wondering if club members might want to re-categorize thier cars or should we consider amalgamating both kit numbers?

Can't wait to get my hands on this kit! I think I got a good deal at $150US for a new built. The ad said that the reserve was set at $150 but it had a buy it now at $150 so I grabbed it!

It is an excellent looking car, really top quality, I built mine from new and added a decent LRP F1 ESC.

I haven't run it outside yet, not sure if I ever will as I'm not sure how easy it is to get parts for this one - bet it would really go though !

I think I may have put mine in the wrong category - I will check it out.

Does anybody know of any Tamiya or other aftermarket hop-ups for either the original or the rerelease?

i think there basically the same but the rerelease comes with the awesome motor.i dont think the original one came with a motor i could be wrong though................yes i had the rerelease it was super fast even with my weak battery mine would ride a wheelie in the grass[]
