Hmm... been thinking about this for a few days now and I think it comes down to two situations for me.

If my house was on fire and I only had time to grab one car (let's assume the wife and kids are already out :) ), I'd probably choose my Axial Wraith. It's lots of crazy fun, been upgraded a fair bit and is probably the highest value car in my collection.

But if I had to sell up to earn some cash then I think id choose to keep my HB2010. It's a lot of fun and easy to maintain and repair. WW2 would be a close 2nd choice but I don't actually run it anywhere near as much as the HB.

I have no idea. I have so many prized creations, but possibly my Willy's FAV Scorcher. Good all around RC that is unique and looks great. ON-road, OFF-road.

Of course I'd have to put a faster motor in, and get different types of tires.

this is not a fair question, as I have different reasons for owning what I have!! Its akin to asking if I had a new Audi RS4 on the drive and my Lupo (Lupo it is then!) as they all make me smile and be happy.

BUT.... if I really had to make a choice, the list I'd choose from would contain

CC-01 Pajero/Landy Disco - I have never been so pleased with an r/c car, this does everything I ask of it, and I love the way it looks too! I also run this more than anything else.

Fox - the buggy that got me back into r/c a few years back. Spotted on a vw forum from which I have a LOT of really good friends, this kick-started my voyage into Tamiya and r/c in general. I love the way it drives, its looks and the fact its pretty unique amongst Tamiya's line-up.

TA-01 Lancia Delta - I bought this back when I was 16, and was my first Tamiya. I destroyed the shell (stupidly!) but now restored to her former glory, so I guess this is just sentimental.

SuperClod - I always wanted one, so when I had the money, was a no-brainer! I enjoyed building this too with my son's help in places, and we both love running this truck. FUN FUN FUN!!!

Of those 4, for sentimental reasons, it would be the Lancia, but for good memories with my son, the SuperClod WINS!!

Don't be silly, we'd start a charity telethon to save your collection.

...and had the opportunity to keep one (just ONE!), which one you'd keep?

Any particular reasons for choosing *that* one?

I know which one I would keep, but I'd like to know which ones you guys would keep if in such situation.

funny you should ask after the comment you left in my showroom :P Actually the Sand Scorcher, just because it's probably my favourite Tamiya. But things happen, I had to let it go and It's just a toy car right??? :o Oh well, they'll be another one day

Last time this question came up I said my Blackfoot. Now, however, I am the proud owner of several RC10s... so probably it would be one of them. Sorry Mr Tamiya...

1st place. My 4x4x4 Lunchbox. It's the only scratch built vehicle I've properly finished so far, and it's unique

2nd place My scratch built steel king tiger.

3rd place. TXT-1. It's the only tamiya I have that doesn't have a major design flaw.

I was just rereading this and a bit of reality set in. If I were to make a move to sell off all but one, I don't think I'd get past the first 2 or 3 before other people would put an end to it. I have several that if I ever decide to part with them they're already spoken for. knowing it's never going to happen so letting them leave would set off the alarm buzzers. Then some are my daughters, and she would bring in the men in white coats pretty quick if I tried something like that. That's also ignoring the fact that I have more money in them than I'd ever see from selling them. I've let go of 10 in the last month and the dollars were 0. I won't be upgrading them so the gift value was justified.

My criteria for selecting only one:

- Usable on-road or off-road

- Fast acceleration

- High top speed

- Great handling

- Durable

- Lots of tunability

- Parts readily available

Touring cars are out due to the off-road requirement. Monster trucks are out due to handling. Scalers/crawlers/tractor trailers/tanks are out due to top speed. That pretty much leaves me with buggies, and I prefer 4WD over 2WD.

At this moment in time I'd have to pick my OFNA NEXX8 1/8 scale e-buggy. It's nicely equipped, built to last, and a blast to drive. If I didn't have the NEXX8, my second choice would be a Tamiya DB01R for many of the same reasons.

Yes, this is a very tough question. I would choose my Axial SCX10, it's painted to match my old truck and I just plain old love it! After that it's my Wraith then the Holiday Buggy.

For me the answer would depend on whether this is a once-off issue, or if I would have to stick to just one RC car from that point on.

If the former were to be the case, I would keep my CC01 Pajero, as once the troubles were over, I would be able to part it out, sell the parts, and buy several other RCs with the proceeds. (It has a lot of upgrades!)

If the latter were the case, I would keep my Hornet. A gift from my wife, it has the greatest sentimental value, and makes for a great basher despite its age. If I were to only ever have one RC for the rest of my days, that would be the one.

I would have to keep my Knight Hauler over everything else. I enjoy driving it the most, the build was second to none, I see so much scope for modification, I love the scale aspect.

Second to keep would be my HPI Baja 5BSS

Third, Nissan King Cab

Forth, Clod Buster

Fifth, Lunchbox

This would be my pecking order. The rest I could care less...
