Hi guys,

Hope someone can help. After a lot of searching and trying various Ball Diffs I had lying around the house, (none of which fitted). Can anyone tell me which ball diff if any will fit into the BFX TL01B ?? gearbox ?

Many thanks

Chris.

The shafts and main cup drives?

All I know is the BFX has a pre assembled Gearbox and then the cup drives with dong bones to the axles.. unless you do an axle/universal on the drive shaft

Thanks for the reply Jeff

Yeah, The gearbox does come pre assembled but it also comes to bits :D It has what looks like the exact same diff as my TL01 Escort WRC but I think the Ball Diffs for these were the centre diffs and not the ones at the wheels. I just wondered if there is another model that has a Ball diff option that can be used inside the gearbox or even if there are parts of another that you can mix and match to create one.

My son would like the BFX to do donuts

Thanks again

As far as i know having built a wild dagger / blackfoot 4x4x4 (same chassis )recently there is'nt a ball diff that fits . however if you want to do donuts convert it to all wheel steering . Quite easy to do and the results are amazing .

Thanks for the replys once more guys. FOur wheel steering doesn't sound like it would be easy. DO you have details of it anywhere ??

Thanks again

Chris.

Chris its a lot easier then you might imagine . All you need is full set of the front steering components including the steering knuckles - remember that the blackfoot extreme is a symetrical chassis .Fit these to the rear end . Add a second servo having reversed the wiring on the servo motors and connect both servos together via a Y lead and its basically job done . When i get chance i'll take some body off photos so you can see how i did it but it will be after christmas now as i have a new project coming from Santa ie my mrs lol

To make life easier you can get reversed Y leads on eBay cheaply.
