Connection between Anime / Manga & Tamiya

Recommended Posts

Hi I recall reading in a Tamiya Guide book, or possibly the Tamiya Story that the Coro Coro series of 4x4 cars were based on illustrations for a Japanese Comic Book Animation... [Cars included Super Dragon, Fire Dragon, Thurnder Dragon, Thunder Shot].

Any idea on what the comic books are? I would love to have a look at some of the Manga/ Anime artwork!

Cheers

I would also suggest that most Japanese art shares a similar style.

I do remember some RC comic books on here recently but I am not very good with the search.

Being a Japanese company Tamiya is always going to use manga and anime tie-ins to promote it's products and has done as far back as the early 80s I believe.

A fun Dash! Yonkuro cartoon here too..

That Dash Yonkuro anime cartoon was funny. Got a kick out of the Clod Buster with the hop-up CVA shocks B)
