Looks great. I always liked the Hotshot but never got around to owning one. Are you planning to add the 4 shock mods or leave it mono shock? Maybe see how it handles first?

I'm in the box art mood at the moment, i prefer the looks of these great buggies to modern ones, im under no illusion about how it will handle but going to have fun running it. plus now looking at a super hotshot lol.

Can someone tell me why there's some wheel hubs on the d parts tree that are not used, also what can these be used on, just so i know in the future.

I think you will find they are replicas of the original front hubs. The re-re using boomerang style hubs which I believe but the front axles slightly further apart, allowing the use of boomerang / thundershot drive shafts. The original hotshot (and the re-re) used different length drive shafts for the front and rear. but the boomerang re-re had the same width drive shafts front and rear. (Which are the same length as the thundershot). When I built my re-re hotshot, I put in the original style front hubs, and the used the newer designed spares to fit thundershot axles, drive shafts, and drive cups to another original hotshot. Fits great and no problems. That's the difference between the parts, the only reason I can think of tamiya including the spare original design hubs was so that people could repair their old hotshots with hubs that look the part.

Don't think there made anymore, ebay would be your best place to find one, just checked and there a few sellers got them for around £20 mark, not sure if with the re-re of the super hotshot it maybe a option part but can't say for sure.
