Ansmann X4SC pro kit - any good?

Been thinking to get myself a racing buggy or short course truck and I noticed this Ansmann kit on eBay for only £105. Seems pretty decent and tune-able, has anyone bought one or had experience running one? Does the kit come with decals as I can't find any info online.

Ansmann Racing was the distributor of some of TeamC's vehicles (Mad Rat RR Buggy, Mad Monkey RMR Buggy, Macnum RR Stadium Truck). Absima is the new distributor of TeamC products since 2012 and I assume Absima isn't related to Ansmann anymore. So they will continue to sell the products above (under the names Jekyll RR, Lupus RMR and Hyde RR ST). You can't expect them to be 100% parts compatible, but 99% may be still true.

I've heard rumors on another R/C forum of German distributor Dickie-Tamiya taking over the Ansmann R/C division. Thanks for the link to the OOPLE-thread.

My guess: I think Dickie-Tamiya will just keep selling the spares that are already in stock, but will not fabricate new models for the Ansmann brand. Instead, you may expect some well-known Ansmann models coming up under the Carson Modelsport brand name. But these won't be any TeamC based models.

Ansmann Racing themselves were just mainly a distributor for R/Cs made by a range of different manufacturers.

Probably the most interesting thing to me was getting a sense of the magnitude of their RC sales via those letters posted on Oople.
