Finish all my restoration projects instead of (or before?) buying any more.

Projects =

Boomerang (needs body)

Wild One (needs body)

Bruiser (needs body)

Nitro USA-1 (needs body painting and engine mounts made)

EP USA-1 (needs body)

Clod Buster (need to replace destroyed body)

Clod Axle Monster truck (Currently just axles and tyres, need chassis/motors/esc/body)

Also would (still) really like to get a Juggernaut 1 or 2, and would love to build a tank of some description (maybe king tiger/kV2 ...or even 2A6).

I can think of one more project for you this year Berman :D Well done Mate and well deserved.

1. Just subscribed (at last)

2. I guess that means I will have to start taking photo's

3. Finish my brushless Astute runner project

4. Build a 4WD Brumby from TA02 and DF01 parts with a polycarbonate Brat shell. Colour blue.

5. Astute shell with new decals (Thanks Wilton84 - champ)

6. Egress shell with new decals

7. Buy something NIB

Just 1. (for now): Convert a Toyota Tundra into something resembling the AT38 from Top Gear Polar Special. Body Work is going to be extensive, but interesting.

1) Finetune DB01: install universals, experiment and add thicker wt oil for the rears (slightly underdampened at the moment), consider an ESC upgrade; buy another Durga shell paint in a nice shade of white (that'll mean I'll have 3 shells for the DB01).

2) (Possibly) purchase the Axial EXO; hopup EXO, bulletproof it, strive to dial it in so that it's trouble-free and requires little maintenance, and get acquianted with the world of shortcourse truck RC - the "550" size 4pole motors, 3s lipos, 120a ESCs, and such. And then, buy LEDs for the EXO and then buy a VW buggy shell for the EXO (common thing done by EXO owners).

Update time... (oh dear !)...

Here are mine, in no particular order...

1. Buy and fit TRF shocks and universal driveshafts to DB01 Durga - universals in place, no TRF shocks (see later)

2. Cut and paint Baja lexan shell for my 'brat' ORV chassis - shell is cut, just needs sanding and a paint scheme

3. Strip clean and restore my Super Champ, although undecided whether to go full original spec or use the party chassis plates I already have - err, not started :(

4. Strip , clean and rebuild with hop ups the F103 I have on route - awaiting paint on the new shell, but its nearer a F104 now !!

5. Rebuild and attempt electric conversion on a NDF-01 nitro thunder - no progress, might just sell it on for spares now

6. Clean up and get running a madcap project, then sell on - still at my mates (15 months !)

7. Clean up and sell the RC10T3 I bought as a 2011/12 winter basher, but still haven't picked up from my mates house! - yep still there, 14 months

8. Restore a Kyosho Progress 4wds buggy - still in the queue :(

And try not to buy any more models!!

well the TRF shocks are still on the shopping list for the Durga, in the meantime its been joined by a DB-01R which is being stripped and rebuilt currently

a Super Sabre is on route - needs a shell as a minimum, no doubt a lot more !!

the old F103 parts are being utilised in a custom pan car project, along with some new RM-01 parts

TLT-1 has been bought and hopped up with CF chassis plates, alloy cantilevers and alloy oil filled shocks

A Willys Wheeler Camper van is sat in the lounge NIB too

Oh well, keeps me off the drink ;)

Great to see an update Percymon; you're making some good progress with the projects while failing miserably with the shopping; RESULT! B)

My plans are quite simple;

1. Finish my FAV project

2. Attend TC 2013 meet and do some shopping

3. Start my Rough Rider resto with shopping purchased under point 2

4. Find more members for the Rough Rider Buggy Champ Sig

5.Create a half decent avatar for my main page

My rather more modest plans are going ok;

1. Finish my FAV project - Nope not yet, but some slow progress has been made.

2. Attend TC 2013 meet and do some shopping - No, but eagerly waiting for an anouncement......

3. Start my Rough Rider resto with shopping purchased under point 2 - No

4. Find more members for the Rough Rider Buggy Champ Sig - YES, 2 new members :)

5.Create a half decent avatar for my main page - Er, No

Must try harder!

Contemplating one of those Ken Block Traxxas Fiestas HPI Ken Block Fiestas as my first foray into the brushless world. Those 1:1 Gymkhana videos are flipping ridiculous.

Here's my list:

-Chase the bugs out of my DF-03ra driveline, then replace main gear with 5-Stars steel gear. Maybe re-power with a larger Tacon brushless I picked up.

-Finish shells for my Smokey & the Bandit Trans-Am, "Death Proof" Nova projects. I also have another General Lee body from Kamtec that's a direct fit on a Tamiya 1/10, and a VW Corrado body to boot.

-Final touches on my M-04 Audi Coupe, including hidden mounts and lighting. Maybe paint another VW Beetle shell that my daughter designs for same car.

-Possibly purchase an XV-01pro chassis for use with above bodies, or a Stadium Blitzer for straight-up bashing.

-Get some street tires for my HPI Savage XS Flux, possibly Phaltlines.

-MAYBE try to finagle an Axial EVO kit, now that they've been reduced.

-Do all of the above without my wife contemplating divorce.

My aims for 2013 are

1. Finish the short wheel base Cox dune buggy bodied SRB ive being working on . Its 80% done and only needs a custom chassis plate paint and electrics adding .

NEXT ON THE TO DO LIST

2. Make some small improvements to the Heng Long Walker Bulldog i got for christmas . I've already started on the weathering but i want to add

a better speaker and proportional smoke units for a bit more realism . I have a few other tweaks in mind too . It needs some stowage as well .

DONE - just working on a proto type fan driven smoke unit

3. Re build and re bodie my Belray Blitzer . The body was always a bit of a bodge fit and i want to make a proper one for it now i have seen how

well it looks and how it sould be done .

4. Just a bit of fun - fit a quad bike body to my 4x4x4 wild dagger / blackfoot project . Nice easy fun runner body .

DONE - looks great and is excellent fun

5.Have another look at the Ford GPA Seep project i put up in the loft after getting frustrated with it last year .

Its still something i think i can do and i've learned a lot since then so it might be more do able now .

And lastly get as much run time and fun out of them as possiable .

I'm looking at a transfer/job change in the next few months, so the plan is to do more selling than buying to lighten the load.

So far so good -- Sand Viper, Plasma Edge, Digger, and Sport 3.2 are all gone. Also sold off some body shells locally. I've been going through my stuff again and should have a second round of selling in the near future...

I plan to get my Striker up and running and seriously look into selling one or two of my cars, after which I may already be thinking of another project...

Per usual, the project came first! But now I am looking to sell one of my chassis to a friend and hope to get him started up in radio-controlled cars!

More specifically, my goals are to build up a weatherproof/weather-resistant Lancia Rally runner, run my Striker now that it is completed, refurbish and/or sell my Buggy Champ, and hopefully start a Bruiser fund... If not the Bruiser, I was thinking of trying radio-controlled aircraft. And, above all else, getting a summer job to support my fast-growing passion for the hobby would help!

Well, so much for "no new projects..." I was given a basket-case Kyosho Rocky yesterday, along with a Raider parts donor car. Just the sort of project that's interesting enough to get bumped to the front of the queue, and complex and difficult enough to keep me from finishing the others. So it goes...

I'll get married. No other way to stop this and thin out the collection!

No. Seriously, there's only two things I see happening for me until next June:

First one is making the Rough Rider run. Can't seem to find those freakin' small rods for the original MSC anywhere! <_<

Then, I think I'm getting some cheap (hopefully used) Lunchbox shell for my Midnight Pumpkin truck. I already got the chrome parts, I only need the main shell and windows. I just want to know what the Lunch Box legend stands for! ;)

Best of luck to y'all with your 2013 RC projects!!! :)

First up join this great site and start up a show room & join alot of SIG groups if I can.

My main aim this yr is to finish my on going development of my FROG with over a yr of R&D sunk into it. Once fully finished I will post it up here.

Prep all my cars for the Australian Vintage Festival to the best they can be.( new tires Batteries, wheels, & upgrade parts for 6 cars) Started & will be running 4 out the 6 classes with Tamiya's

Save enough money to do the Festival. <_<

Finish my Avante off ( have begun )

Start on my Turbo Optima Restore. ( started to source parts including a belt drive conversion)

Start on my Nikko Super Sprint Restore.

Hopefully buy a re re Super Champ ( the only SRB that I want)

Well that should keep me busy enough for the rest of the yr with running vintage cars at Boondal every fortnight.

As far as projects and cars go, I'll finish off the grader and make a few custom speed car chassis. Detail the unimog and get rid of it. Pass along the RC10DS and rere frog.

My intent is to join the local racing league to help curb the model a week thing.

The league racing is a no go. The grader finished off just fine. I decided to keep the unimog and RC10 DS. I'm still working on the chassis ideas and hope to get back to the model a week maximum. I'll be looking at the cars for late February and early March tomorrow.

Small list for now

I've had little time for my toys over the past few years, but this year I'm planning on getting back into running and restoring some vintage tamiyas..

I'm thinking of restoring my 86 Chevy badged Clod Buster. It's never been painted, so a fresh coat of red would look ace. I've got a plan to fit it with two technigold motors and run it through an esc in all their 8.4 volt glory!

I've also got enough monster beetle chassis parts to build 2 more, even some spare thorp hop ups. They would just need some body shells.

My Bruiser needs a new esc, and if I get around to it, a trailer to tow my sand scorcher.

I also really fancy modding my txt-1 to make it look more true to scale.

I've also got a plan for some vw t3 bus body shells... But that's a secret for now ;)
