Great to see an update Percymon; you're making some good progress with the projects while failing miserably with the shopping; RESULT! B)

I laughed at your comment last month, now i need to take more attention to you

Super Sabre is 90% done, just some small parts on back order

A Boomernag is due to arrive anytime soon - huh, how did THAT happen ?

and a Vajra appeared from somewhere too - that one was never in the plan

In my defence, the twin detonator and monster beetle have departed, and the recently completed Baja Brat is pure spare pats i had around which makes a change ! The DB-01 Durga wonl;t get TRF shocks, but i have some DF-03 GPM Racing ones that might fit, and the DB-01R is now fully rebuilt and ready to race.

Still got F103, custom pan car and Egra (Vajra>Egress) in progress, Super Sabre almost done and now the Boomer to sort (should be an easy one once the parts come in).

After that I'm going back to the rest of my list - the SuperChamp looking the likely project to hit the work bench come April i reckon

Mmm <_< , there's 18 shopping days till April so there's plenty of time for you to squeeze another purchase (or two) into the equation and I reckon the SuperChamp will be the LUCKY project to hit the work bench come April

Spend too much money, accumulate more gratuitous Tamiya Goodness, hide said Goodness from wife, and then try to find time to play whilst working to pay it all off.

You know, the usual.

Still working on a few Tamiya's for the Vintage Festival.

Just put in a $200 order to *****. Ouuuch

Will be on holidays in 2 weeks for 3 weeks so hope to finish a few more projects & lots of painting. ( the least favourite job of r/c too me)

Purchase a XV-01 kit and work on building local intrest for rally racing, I'd like to try my hand at racing M class minis and build an addition to my backyard scaler course. Of course keeping all my kits running as well..lol

In less than a week we will be 1/4 into 2013. Anyone completed 1/4 of what set out to do? I am on target...no r for 2013....maybe the twin hammer.

Hmm - i guess i'm about 23% through my original list, but a load of other stuff has been added in the meantime, so if i included that lot I'd possibly be over 25% since a few of the items are within a week or so of completion.

The plan for 2013 is to sell the ones I know that I wont find time to finish, to pay for the ones that I do. So far I have sold 3....but bought 2!

Quick update time..

the good news..

Super Sabre completed and sold

Boomerang almost completed (blooming decals still on backorder !) but now sold

Bear Hawk has departed too

Egra project finished

Vajra now complete

the bad news..

nil progress on the F103 - still waiting on body painting

nil progress on the pan car beach buggy (was always going to be a start/stop/start project anyway when tiem allowed)

nil progress on the Kyosho Progress restore

nil progress on super champ, distracted by

Optima Mid Custom - chassis now complete, ESC still to programme, body to cut, paint and decal

Optima Mid Custom #2 - currently stripped and searching for parts !

RC10T3 truggy and the Madcap are still at my mates house, almost 18 months after i bought them

At least I'm now more focussed on what i have around me rather than buying another lot of projects (famous last words)

I hadn't thought about this in a while. When I posted on this thread last I had 1 Kyosho, it's now 11. I've gotten rid of 5 but in total added 26 since the first week in February. All plans to keep the collection under control are completely gone.

I've got two projects to finish, two WW2's to do hopefully do something creative with and a big project that I've started buying parts for. That little lot should keep me busy for a couple of months at least, I just need to focus and not get tempted by anything else in the meantime!

I'm quite surprised with myself, I've actually stuck to the plan (so far!). The WW2's are finished except for a Tech Racing part I haven't been able to get yet, and the HEMTT is progressing slowly but surely.

I've avoided distraction mainly because I'm not inspired by much at the moment :( I keep looking at TXTs and TLTs but I'm going to have to save my pennies for a while longer... ;)

Lol - knew it wouldn't last

still waiting on a RC10 Team Car to arrive

managed to buy another Manta Ray wreck yesterday

Associated B4 also on the workbench currently

Doh - must focus, must focus, must sell a few !!

Sounds like we'll all be pretty busy!

My list is as follows:

1. Rebuild/rebody my TT01RA as a Subaru Impreza

2. Rebuild/rebody my M03 as a Fiat 500 rally car

3. Rebuild/rebody/remotor my TT01 stock racer as a drift car (possibly also Subaru Impreza, or maybe an old-school Skyline)

4. Rebuild/rebody/remotor my TT01 GT racer to suit local club racing (once I know what their 2013 rules are!)

5. Build and mod a Tamiya Farm King when they are released in the UK. (Might ask for one for my birthday if the timing is right)

6. Build up a TL01 as a rally car for my wife (if she finds that she enjoys driving mine, and if I can find a good used chassis for the right price)

...plus the inevitable repairs and maintenance to the other cars in my fleet that see regular use.

Well, we are pretty much halfway through the year, and progress has been good!

1. Done!

2. Done!

3. Done! Although it ended up being a Silvia S15 shell in the end.

4. Still to do...

5. Done!

6. Not on the list anymore - turns out she prefers buggies.

Added to the list is the purchase, building and mild modding of a Hotshot, on my birthday list for the end of August, and the building, modding and custom painting of a pair of Rising Fighters for my mate's partner and daughter, to be done by October.
