Every true Tamiya fan must get that 1/24 scale hiace tamiya cargo van . And i know someone here at TC will turn it into a RC version. Mark my words.

I was remembering the "Avante front" Tamiya R/C guidebook,it shows how to fit the cargo van to a Tamtech chassis.along side the make your own shell that looked like a wonky delorean

...... and the Landfreeder is..............

A CC01 with a Bush Devil body        O for Orsum. Not. They could of at least used a Blackfoot 3 Ranger. ... Like we scalers used to do 10 years ago. Tamiya: innovation specialists, they're not.

They will fit but they are a crap shock. Put HPI shocks or some 80mm after market ones on. YouG ones way too bouncy no matter how you set them up.

Cheers

Thanks for the info mate, but i like the old school feel with period correct hopups experiencing with what I could'nt afford as a kid... If its bouncy adds to the excitement... I'm not a fan of mixing new school with old school..

Cheers

Bump!

The annual November Tamiya Fair should take place in a few week's time, and no doubt there will be early snippets on Tamiyablog soon. So what, if anything, is coming? The 959 has to be the next big skittle to drop but will they do it? Or will the old tobacco livery be an obstacle? And what about that Bigwig rumour from earlier this year? I guess we will find out one way or another if it was true.

Mountaineer? Astute? Or maybe this time the Monster Beetle will finally return?

The Egress isn't even in the post yet but it is time to start speculating again folks. :)

I'm really hoping for a Top Force Evo, but hopefully it will be far enough away to let my wallet recover after the Egress! :D

Retail prices for the Bruiser have been falling over last 6 months so I doubt there will be much push for the mountaineer.

Bigwig maybe, Boomerang re-re long sold out so another model to sell alongside remaining hotshot and super hotshots

Seeing the popularity in Japan of the WR02 and the various new models on that chassis, I keep hoping for a Willy's Wheeler.

Wouldn't that be a good reason for getting the Mountaineer out now? The Bruiser has peaked in terms of demand and now they have to squeeze more revenue out of the chassis?

I'm wondering when they'll start putting that epicyclic gearbox in their 3 speed 1/14 trucks, or maybe another budget 4x4 like the hi-lift was.

I can't see them designing a whole new gearbox just for one model.......

I agree, although I think they are simply more likely to re-release the other three original metal 3 speeds with the new transmission shoehorned in, and then place it in an all new designed kit.

I have a strong feeling the Astute and/or Madcap will be coming. Probably not this year though. Just a gut feeling.

Unfortunately I doubt the HiLux will be re-done, as much as I wish they would. It is, by far, my most favorite model ever since I first saw it in the catalog when I was young.

Only the re release Blazer  interests me. Nothing current or existing re-releases, that I have not bought, interest me.

I don't mind the Blazer re release in 2015 or late in 2014, which will give me time to top up the funds again :) .
