Hi All

After hearing about the Fusion Hobby deal on the VW Camper I couldn't resist buying one. I also couldn't resist startin on it tonight (even though I am in the middle of the hilift build too!) well the bodyshell at least.

3 hours later (and hair dryer blasts between coats of paint to speed up the painting process) I have one finished body. I haven't sprayed and stickered a tamiya lexan shell for years and forgot how fantastic the decal sets are. Ok so a bit fiddly but worth it.

If you're wondering about the colour scheme, well it was a case of going through my dozens of half full PS paints and finding some that had enough to do the job.

I was going to run as stock but have remembered that I have an ezrun 3000kv system I thought about running with a 3000mah nimh battery, any thoughts? Would the stock gearbox handle that?

Heres my bodyshell anyway, now on with the chassis build.....

Cheers guys. Do you know what, you are right wolfdogstinkus it wasn't 3 hours. I forgot that I did the window masks this afternoon and tonight was the rest so all in about 3.5 - 4 (sorry!).

I always like to get the body done first so when the chassis is complete you can just drop it on and you're away.....just remembered got willy do to....doh!

that's awesome!!! I was going to do the purple with white but decided to do something different.

your 3000KV system should work fine with a good quality NIMH pack.

her's a little thing i do with the stickers i heat them up hot with a hair dryer a section at a time amd press them on and this way when they cool down the sticker stays shapped to the objects shape it's stuck on... your fingers get burnning hot some times when pressing the hot stickers down but in the end it's worth it they stay on to the shape.

It wont fit the Mchassis, if you look at my build thread, I have a picture of it sitting on a M chassis.
