Has anyone tried renewing the shock seals on these

skinny aluminium cylinders before??

I thought it couldn't be done, but whilst digging

the junk heap for something to stick on a GrassHornet

I came across some shockers that had self-dismantled.

(somebody must have jumped their Hornet too high!?)

The seal at the bottom is simply a black rubber o-ring

sandwiched between 2 brass washers, captured at the

bottom of the skinny cylinder.

Can the o-ring be replaced without doing much

permanent/visible damage to the skinny cylinder?
