There was a model train show on the T.V last night?, it was quite interesting how originally they were real working steam engines but they were too expensive for the masses so eventually they were made electric and scaled down.

Good luck with the sale.

E2A: It was called "The joy of train sets"

It would be helpful if you let us know something of what your intending to sell. Most of the makers that are common to Europe are very difficult if not impossible to get in the US. I hand carried a marklin from Beaties all the way home for that reason.

Both are typical road names so most likely Bachman or maybe Athern brand unless it's a rare Marklin. ConCor Riverrossi is a possibility in that guage and those sell well, especially the older ones with traction tires. Electo motive has a shop here in Denver that's pretty interesting to see. I'm guessing all deisel engines too?

i belive some are proto 2000s , but again , its been a while since i've seen the collection. ill post the list when dad finally decides what has to go.

I have never really been into trains but that coffee tea (don't like coffee, tea is much nicer.) table is a work of art.

Marklin used to sell a Z scale briefcase train set that sell for crazy money now. I'll look in the old pics of my old train stuff. It's a pricey hobby I don't get into anymore but used to do way too much of that.

N scale Japanese railways and VR (Victorian Railways) Blue / Gold era in both HO and N scale have been draining some money lately ... I needed a small break from spending too much money on RC cars, and fell into the trap of spending just as much on railway stuff. LOL :P

I've actually got a coffee table with a Marklin Z-gauge layout in it. Love yours! Didn't know anyone other than Marklin made Z scale! :)

I never really got into trains, but that Z gauge stuff is something else and i can see why folks can get addicted to it. :)

I spotted this while looking at Klaus`s aircraft videos you also might like,

which reminded me of the Hamburg model railway.

I can`t stop watching this at the moment though,

great scale and sounds loverly.

Hope you enjoy.

T.
