I emailed Schumacher to ask about the receiver and possible replacements.

The reply that came back was that they are discontinued and it is no longer possible for the manufacturer to produce them.

Guessing Etronix have the rights now, they are still getting manufactured, just with a different name stuck on them, is it worth a £25 punt to see if they'll work? The core ones didn't work with the Tamco ones.

I decided to hang my hat on the Futaba peg. Have a T4GRS transmitter with receiver on the way.

I'll need to source some more receivers but when I do my Core-RC ones will be going up for sale. Unless they somehow manage to bind to the Futaba.

Not got much hope but stranger things and all that.

Interesting topic. I too have the CR151 stick Tx from Code-RC. Bought from Modelsport a few years back.

I have the orignal blue Core-RC Rx and the Hobbyking branded HK3000 variants as well as the HK3100 micro.

And I now need some new Rx’s.

I bought 2 of the gyro FHSS micro TrackStar:

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/trackstar-ts4g-2-4ghz-4-channel-gyro-integrated-receiver.html

i couldn’t get them to bind. Although the two I had didn’t seem to work the same, so I don’t know if they were faulty or just didn’t work with my Tx. Hobbyking claimed faulty and refunded almost straight away. But left me with no Rx’s.

So I bought a Core-RC micro one from Modelsport via eBay. This is claimed as FHSS. But also won’t bind with the CR151. Modelsport say it only works with the current trigger Tx

Modelsport have said an Etronics one at £26 will work.

Does anyone know of any other Rx’s that are available and in stock that will work?

I bought this radio because the Hobbyking Rx’s were £10 and under. But these now seem out of stock or discontinued.

Really hoping there is a solution to this. As I’m wanting 4 Rx’s and it just isn’t worth spending £25 a time on them.

Ive 6 of the CR598 core micro rx and everyone is fine with the CR151 handset, I will gladly buy it off you!

I was thinking that, but you'll find they are out of stock too, not sure if they are just not manufacturing them anymore, I know Schumacher had issues with their manufacturer, as I had emailed them.

I think it’s a newer one they sell now. CR278. It’s this one I can’t get to work and Modelsport say won’t with the CR151.

Just been speaking with Hobbyking. The HK-3000 Rx is out of stock and on backorder with the OEM with no ETA.

They also said they are waiting to hear if the entire product line is to be discontinued. They also do not stock any other Rx’s now that are compatible.

Sadly it’s looking like this Core-RC Code radio set is dead and time to look for a replacement. What a waste of money.

I've just been searching for a couple more receivers for my Core-Rc Code and I'm pretty annoyed to read that I can't buy them anymore! It's even more annoying that no other receivers will bind with it by the sounds of things

 Hope they turn up.

I hope so too, both the rx links are not working now, so you lot have bought the lot!! 🙄

Just to see what would happen, I tried binding one of my Core RC receivers to my new Futaba transmitter.

Didn't expect it to work and it didn't.

I will have to replace the Core receivers with Futaba ones and will then have half a dozen Core micro receivers to sell off. As well as the CR151 transmitter and the non-micro receiver that came with it, plus a LiFe transmitter battery.

Will post when they are out of the cars and ready for a new home.

I don't know how all the 2.4ghz stuff works in terms of compatibility, but should any FHSS rx work?

I notice HobbyKing do: TrackStar TS3t 2.4GHz FHSS 3-Channel Receiver which looks similar. Is possible the product was discontinued and bought out or rebranded?

I also have a CR151 and multiple HK3100 rx's and so does my mate and his 2 boys.

FHSS just means frequency hopping spread spectrum. You’ll need something that is compatible on how it actually does this. Upshot is no. Not any FHSS Rx will work. :(

Hobbyking tell me the TrackStar one won’t work. I actually bought a couple of the Gyro ones (G4something) on the off chance. But they didn’t bind with the CR151.

Ok fair enough. Although the G4 ones are going to be a different PCB as they have other features. The one I mentioned could be the exact same rx but in a different case.

So hobbyking don't offer a compatible replacement then?

Have just listed my remaining Core-RC receivers (CR598) and my CR151 Transmitter with CR152 Receiver in the For Sale section of the forum.

Oh dear this is annoying I have 2 of the Tamco TAC330 Tx's 1 of the CoreRC Code Tx's and I think about 11 of the 3 ch Rx's it's great system for 90% of my needs.

Received three of the ones I ordered today :) the two from Fusion Hobbies and one from ebay.  The fusion Hobbies one's were fine and the free sweets are yummy, the one from Ebay was listed as a 3ch but I was sent  a 4 channel and while it binds thats all it will do :(
