The wheels are in fact 2" buggy size, common through the late 80's to the early 90's, and the chassis is basically a loosely converted buggy to on road, like we used to do before touring cars came about. You might encounter some problems finding 2" on road tyres these days, as no one makes after market rubber that size. It's all 2.2. Older Proline Road Rage's fitted 2" but have long since one. I bought my last set in the mid to late 90's.

The chassis it's self looks like their standard 4WD chassis that has the front end parts deleted. That was sold as an Alfa 156, a BMW M3 and a few other assorted road cars,a rally raid Pajero, a 4WD buggy, a truggy thing and there was a 6 wheeled version with a Volvo-esque prime mover cab. Now that one would of been close to 1/10 :D

They were all pretty fuggly. If you can find them, Frewer in new Zealand used to make a lot of 225 - 230 mm bodies, so did MacAllister (who still occasionally stocks their ebay shop), Parma and so forth. Same size as the old Pro 10 pan car class.
