Gone already after a six week availability window. That has to be a record surely? Even the Thundershot & Manta Ray got a couple of months and the Avante Black Special got about three.

I wonder what happened here, I can only think it must be due to the availability of the bodyshell?

I don't know what it is, but I got it bad!! 95% of my collection is VW!! Glad I snapped one of these up while they were still in production.

I guess now I wait for the M06 Beetle...

Ok, so mine has not even arrived in the post yet but I am already forseeing a problem, and it's with the ride height. Basically although I first thought that this chassis seemed a good match for the body some photos are starting to emerge of the built re-release that are making me have a rethink. Whilst the original has a lovely low-slung look the re-re looks awkwardly high sitting.

I can't quite believe this, but exactly 72 hours after ordering mine it has arrived already from Japan. That is officially a new record for me, I wasn't expecting it till this time next week at the earliest.

I really hope all future re-releases stick around a wee bit longer, I don't like feeling pressured into impulse buys
