More Hop Ups for the Avante.

Well after installing the ball raced steering rack and having the Hi Caps installed up the front I decided to get the other option parts.

Torque splitter ( to get the ball diffs)

Hi Caps for the rear.

Hybrid tyre set

Light weight wheel set.

Another ball race steering set ( was destined for my Hot Shot) but changed to another set up.

The rear caps came from a on line shop in Germany ( we spent over a hr trying to get my dad in U.K to navigate the site in German & won't post outside Europe)

My budget is blown way out over this Avante. LOL

Well I plan to race it instead of my well sorted Top Force. Just can't stop loving the Avante

Yeah but it's fun as heck going over budget Mad :-)

I have been kicking the idea around about the Torque splitter and the Steering Upgrade myself. Haven't pulled the trigger yet though.

Geez I just finally got my PS-16 paint for the body. Maybe now I can actually finish a project?!

Also I didn't understand what the Hi Caps were? Are those tires? Sorry for the ignorant question :-)

Hi Caps are short for High Capacity shocks ( as in oil volume) These were standard on the Top Force Evo & a tricky sleeved version for the Dyna Storm. (has a Teflon internal sleeve for the piston to glide up & down) The Hi Caps were a option part as well.

Not sure what other cars came with Hi Caps maybe the Egress? That was a earlier buggy so I don't think so.??

The Torque splitter is a fantastic value kit as you get 2 ball diffs as well.

The steering up grade kit is far better with less complexity to it.

I only bought these upgrades ( steering, torque splitter & light weight wheels I feel will go up like the so called re re Hi Caps LOL)

Yes Hicaps did come out on the Egress I believe, hence the hysteria about it possibly being re-released last year

Ok , this is all the stuff i have got for mine . Now you can see what i mean on that torque splitter . ..

Who sticks to a budget any way ???? . May you have fun in the build upgrades .

Hay , Have you seen any Avante bodys for sale , by any chance . Just would like too have a spear .

What else could we upgrade on this fine car ???... & no i'm not upgrading the owner ....

Can't wait to see it. I do have a very soft spot for any Avante now. I will build the diffs soon but plan to run the centre ball diff it has now.

The black shell on mine is a aftermarket one & new 2011 decals. The whole body set is not cheap now ( Body, Wing, undertray & sticker set)

As for other upgrades I'm just waiting on a new H/D servo saver that has been recommended by others here.

It's looking very much like that. My Top Force has been all prepared but the way the Avante is performing well now & few more improvements too come & with it's wow factor it's looking very likely. Like I said this is one very dark horse . Then again It's almost a Egress but in SWB form.

Nice Mark. Stock or mod? Its funny. I assumed the egress avante series was so far behind the top force but the avante2001 came out not too long before the manta ray and the top force is just a manta ray with plate chassis and better shock towers so in reality it should be a close thing. And for cool factor id love to see avantes battling with top forces

Well, Well.

Mikey LOL,,,,,, Never thought that with your user name. LOL.

Since the rules has allowed the Top Force in vintage it was a choice of the Top Force, Lazer ZX or now my Avante. To me I always like to run something a little different and still be at the pointy end of the field. Mario is running his Top Force in mod I'm sure there will be a Lazer so that leaves me with the Avante.

So there should be a good mix up in mod. & to have a Avante duke it out with others in mod should be a eye opener Is there any other Avante 's running or a Egress in Mod.???
