Yep, he got a little cave full of treasures[:D]

Check out his homepage, but wait for all the pics to load, the two at the very bottom got me jealous already[:P]

Could TamiyaMan possibly has the largest personal collection of Tamiya rc kits in the US, may be even worldwide? For a while I thought Bcollection and Spice have large collections. But TamiyaMan just blew them a way.

I still think he has to be pretty wealthy to own all of those kits. There alot of newer kits there too!! AND he has a Corvette in his garage...AND he has a brand new Mini Cooper S! I am just jealous!! [;)]

Hey Tamiya Man,

My offer still stands..... if I can name each of the models for your entire collection in one breath[8)]can I have a NIB of my choice?[:D]

I don't know if there is just one of each kit in there Tamiya Man!! I see at least 3 TB Evolution kits in the 2nd pic!! I am just messing with ya. Your collection is by far the best one I have ever seen!! How do you restrain yourself from building all of those kits? I remember when I bought my NIB Wild One, I told myself that I wasn't gonna build it....YEAH RIGHT I ended up building it by the end of the week!! Seriously though, Good work!! I envy you! [:D]

Can I come over and look at your collection with my 1997 Chevy Blazer with a trailer in tow? No really, I will not touch your kits but you have put some of mine in with yours. I will show you which ones. I bow down with tamiya silence. Oh great NIB Master, how may I serve you???

I can think of two people, who shall remain anonymous who probably have a bigger collection [8D]

ahhhhhhhh - its not about the size - it is about the love !!

But yeah - I know 2 or three that could match the Tamiya - then double it again - then of course there are other brands (in the same collections !!) !!

That is the thing about collecting - if you have the means - good luck to you.

Thanks for sharing your collection here on Tamiya Club Ron.

Cheers

Again, awesome collection. I got my wife to look at some of the pics. Now my 4 models that "clutter" the shelf dont seem so bad. The full size station wagon is pretty cool too. Gotta love the old chevys.

Funny to see all these comments about the TamiyaMan collection.

However, some comments seems to me stupids. Sorry but it's what I feel. Comments such as "This guy must be rich..." have no sense.

As said, he's in the Collectors World since a while and you don't necessarly need to be reach to have a complete collection if you start the collection from the beginning.

If I check my Swiss Price list, Rough Rider was 400 USD at that time and belive me, Switzerland is the most expensive country for Tamiya (and the rest of Plastic / R/C hobbies)

If today, you start buying each Tamiya R/C that are released, I guaranty you that you will have a huge collection in 15-20 years ... and you maybe still not be rich ! [;)]

Btw, I know another guy in Switzerland that has a bigger collection than BCollection but he simply do not want to share it as TamiyaMan, Bcollection, Spice and all of us do there.

So thanks to these guys to show us what they have and letting us dreaming on some of their kits. They participate to the success story of TamiyaClub! [;)]

Keep your excellent work Ron and keep driving your European Mini [:D]

nice one, well done mate, what sort of room do you keep them in? are they all together etc ? , I know some people get fanatical about these things such as temerature controlled closets etc..

Granted Tamiyaman has a fine collection of cars & all due respect for that, but what really got me was

had a tamiya king hauler bring my wedding rings to the alter at my wedding, met my wife in a hobby shop, took her to a tamiya race on our first date............. id="red">

Now thars what I call TRUE PASSION for the hoby. Top marks tamiyaman[^][^][^][^][^][^]

..and Tamiyaman is a great guy to deal with too! I've bought some nice items (thru eBay) from him, always great packing, service and communication! I think he is a great asset and inspiration to Tamiya collection in general!

Keep it up Ron!

That is very true when it comes down to a Tamiya collection. I think we should not put this in another context before people will make strange links with other subjects. [:P]

Stalin once said: "One death is a tragedy, a million deaths is just statistics." You might wonder what that has to do with Tamiya's. Well, I think the same theory applies here. One NIB can be someones great treasure, but 300 NIB kits is just statistics. What I'm trying to say is, that when you're nearing to get all models you are just collecting them for their number, not for the actual model.

At least that how I tend to feel it personally. [:)]
