Well got my paypal situation fixed and bought a lightly used Traxxas Emaxx w/ Titan 21T brushed motors, EVX-2 ESC, dual servo, full water proof, and 2.4G radio

I bought a few extras -2 12T titan motors, 2 32p 20t pinions, 2 Traxxas motor heat sinks, and a Emaxx Proline 73 Ford Bronco body w/ the rear body posts.

I have a couple questions? Will the 12T motors be any advantage over the 21T's? I've had a 12T in a 2WD slash and it was a blast ahah

How easy is the 2.4gHz radio to setup?

I paid $325USD and it looks brand new (my local Hobbytown has them for $447.95)

Hey guys I posted this further down in the other makes section but I am wondering a couple things-

Will the 12T 550 motors be noticeable over the 21T 550's that come stock in the Emaxx? I also bought 2 32p 20t pinions..

How easy is the TQ2.4 radio to set up?

In an emaxx? If so I wouldn't entertain 12t motors and 20t pinions you will just smoke them. You need to go bigger either a 775 conversion or dewalt 12v lower turn motors won't last terribly long in an emaxx.

12 turn motors are a no go. They are not up to the task on such a big truck. I have been running several E-maxx's the past decade, and have tried more or less everything there are for these beauties.

I would run the 2x550 titans, or go brushless with either a Tekin RX8 combo or Castle/Neu combo.

How burn the 12T's out? They aren't a heavy truck.. tons of people running the 12's and they make great power..

I am quite sure the 12t Traxxas motors are 540 size, and suitable for 1/10 cars like Rustler or Stampede. The E-maxx is more heavy and demands at least 550 motors. Many people have burned 540 motors in these trucks.

I've heard the same as above over on Traxxas.com- the 12T's have the HP but not the torque they will burn out in a Emaxx due to the weight of the truck I'm going to try them with the stock gearing but will likely resell them and the heat sinks I got.. so I can buy 2 8.4v 5,000mAh batteries

Imo the 2x550 21turns are great for running the E-maxx on 2 x 8,4 nimh. batteries. When it suddenly gets boring, next step is brushless. You can go the highend road with Tekin or Castle, or go the budget way with either Hobbyking or maybe a used Novak HV combo.

Well got the Bronco body done! This thing is a blast! It's very hard to get it stuck haha I bought a pair of Lipo batteries (Venom 5000 7.4's) as the 8.4 NIMH's it comes with don't last 15 minutes..

Well got the lipo's and WOW haha it was fun with the stock batt's but these things REALLY need lipo's haha it's really a wheelie machine (needs a wheelie bar bad) BUT here they are! - Venom 7.4 30C 5000 hard case's

As far as a performance stand point for those that haven't gone to Llipo batteries in their E - I bought new wheels/tires (3.2 RPM Revolver's w/ Proline Mashers) the wheels/tires didn't require gluing with the NIMH's it comes with - they NEED to be glued for the lipo's- they fit great!
