I am building a Tundra truck, i cant decide if i want to spend a fortune on the tamiya multifunction unit, so if i buy a series of std led lights, i would like to plug into my spare 4th channel.. here is my question...

what do i need in order to use the 4th channel to turn lights on an off..in currently right hand side of the transmitter operates throttle and steering and left stick up and down does the gears.

i am left with left stick left and right movements which is setup with auto centre.

.

what i would like to do is throw left once to turn main lights on and then left again to turn lights off, and use right movement to turn on all the spotlights with a 2nd right movement to turn them off again..

would be grateful for any help or any links that would solve my problem..

I used a separate on/off switch for the lights on my F350- mounted it under the large body mount tray facing down so you could turn them off during the day- I had a 7ch. Futaba RX and used a universal LED kit-

You can get the Tamiya LED TLU-1 unit that will run up to 8 LED's and you can link the TLU-2 to the TLU-1 and that will simulate most of the (light) functions of the MFC unit as well as run an additional 8 LED's

Here is a pic of my F350's master light switch
