Well, just bought one of the MZ bargains, the BF3 XB Pro..

Its a great truck :) Love it!!

First on the to do list, bearings!

Should I keep the TEU105BK? If so whats a good motor to run with it? Don't want a stupid fast truck, just something fun!!

Any suggestions on mods?

It is..

Not sure mate on what to do yet, I was thinking about it but not sure how far to go... Like do I put bigger shocks on, if so what size... I just don't know!! Twin motor is good, but it kills battery life big time

I wont be NEEDING 4wd I don't think, so will see how it is with 2wd

Am I right in saying the 105BK esc cant handle any lower than 25t motor?

Yeah could be an idea, then sell the TEU...

Need to get rid of the dagger now I reckon lol may sell the bits off it

I've got one of these on the way and wondering if the decals from the original Blackfoot would fit onto this body ?

Decals from the original are available on ebay, I'd much prefer them to the BF3 design.

No bearings, they are on my to do, but only £6.50 from RCbearings.

I would imagine yes the decals would fit this

keep the dagger or not? Hmm

could keep the dagger, sell the BF3 for what it owes me and beef the dagger up as I wont want to use the BF3 outside as its new lol

Fit that box which is direct replacement and some shafts and you are 4wd.. But make sure you have an ESC that can run 2 motors..

If you needed anything temp, I have a twin motor MSC you could have

Hi guys,

I got one of these deals at the weekend, mainly for the price as I was really after an MP but they had sold out. My eldest has a VLB so thought the MP would do well for my youngest to have as her first RC. She is only 5 so I thought an MP was good to go for her as it was for my eldest when she was 5. Well it turns out she is pretty nifty with this BF III, must be from having a go since tiny on her big sisters VLB!

Being totally stock (too slow for me!) it was perfect for her and another bonus was it being a pre built kit and combo deal, wow, for a change it was fun just to buy and be using on the same day, especially when it's a gift for a kid. Amazed still at the price and chuffed with the build quality in general although the front bumper seems like it might not last too long.

Anyway I'm interested in any info too on mods, hop ups etc. for the future with this model as it's all new to me this chassis. Interesting info regarding the 4WD conversion, might of helped a bit at the first drive this weekend in all the snow!

Going to definitely get some bearings this week but interested in any tips from anyone for oil shocks. I know it's only for my kid but hey, friction shocks should be outlawed!

Can't say I'm impressed with this half speed reverse teu 105 either, that was a shock.

Why is that ????

I think apart from bearings and shocks and a descent ESC that reverses at full speed is about all I will be doing, at least for a good while.

So any ideas people on some descent shocks?

Cheers,

Foxone

How far d you want to go with shocks?

I have some alu oil shocks (standard size) on mine at the moment which need refilling, I am putting extended alloy shock towers on mine so I can fit 100mm shocks...
