Thought I'd share my other toy/hobby with you all...

This one is more of a money pit than the RC lately, its trying my patience!!

I'm into Quad bikes, so bought a road legal one, started 2 and a half years back now and had 9 ever since, this being my latest! Its a Quadzilla Stinger 300 2008... Bought it fairly cheap thinking it had tappet noise, but that was piston slap and a noisy cam!! So a week after buying it, cost me £300 for an engine rebuild!! Get it back, and it starts running dodgy, oh that'll be a new carb needed then!! @ £156 it wasn't cheap! So buying it cheap bit me kindly on the harris!

Now owes me what a mint one would have cost haha

Here she is! I have fitted the following mods

Re-Jetted carb

Stainless Zorst system

2" wheels spacers each side front and back

Smaller rear sprocket to help the gearing achieve 75mph

You can ride them on a car license, helmet not required by law but I always do unless popping up the road in the summer, insurance is cheap as chips too!!! And you can legally ride them on the motorway, only done it once, but doing 70mph in lane 3 of the M4 while crossing the severn bridge is VERY twitchy!!

Waiting on a front lowering kit from the states, lowers is 3 1/2 inches at the front and widens the track a further 2" as well!!

Looks like you might have parked the dodge on an oil spillage. :P

Nice cars, we never got the mustang over here,(afaik) but the back end looks similar to an escort and the front resembles a sierra, kind of if you squint a bit.

70s and 80s were the dead years for muscle cars. Unleaded gas and smog control devise didnt help. But i remember both of those car. The previous model mustang was just plain ugly, like an ugly version of the pinto.

As for other hobbies...the depth of the money pit is porportional to the intensity of the hobby. But 1:1 hobby generally requires as much deeper pit.:-(

Nice looking quad there Leemutz. What's the rules as far as passengers go on these? Same as motorbike, as long as they can reach the pedals its legal?

Yup, as it has Nerf Bars they can put their feet on them, so legally its fine :)

The best fun possible on the roads today.. Great in the summer for cruising, and great in the winter as snow isnt a problem

Cool. I sold my bike a few years ago when the kids arrived and I miss the thrill of riding... although I admit with this current weather I haven't missed it much recently :) Just wondering if I could sell this idea to the boss as an alternative? Should turn a few heads on the school run :D

I wanted another bike, but the Luggage hates bikes, so this was my Sell!! Its safer, great in any weather, cheap as chips to run, what more could she want?!?! And cheap to buy believe it or not!

Just don't go for the ones that look 'Bling' they are all made by 9 yr old asian kids in return for rice so they fall apart after a few hundred miles!! Quadzilla FTW

Take a look on www.quad-forum.co.uk and search my threads to see some of the quads I've had, username is the same on there too

They are immense fun!! Oh, and even with road tyres, they can do this (yes, this is me on my old one which was a 250 as well!)

My other hobby and 90% of the reason I build and sell my RC's lol - 1983 Ford Mustang GT and 1971 Dodge Demon

I still like the truck in the background, looks like a 75 to maybe 78?

Got a couple of unused gravel pits just 5 mins from my house that would've made great bashing spots... they've been flooded and designated wildfowl nature reserves. I get enough funny looks just cycling around the edge with my kids, so I'm guessing running a few RC cars through them won't go down well.

I am insanely jealous of the ability to do this overseas. I have no idea what sort of dumbass reason the US has preventing me from doing up a Supermoto style Quad for the street. Meanwhile, you can have any sort of stupid trike you want here... :( Until then, my other money pit hobby is motorcycles and trackdays. IMG_0151_zps530e8b8a.jpgIMG_0097.jpg
