hilux with mfu - losing power

I've been enjoying showing off my hilux to family and friends and have a little display down to a fine art. it involves turning all the lights out and driving it into the room all lights blazing! sad I know!

one thing that really has got me beat (it doesn't take much!) is that during every single run the truck will just go dead, now power nothing and will only start back up of I switch it off and on. I have checked all connections and battery is fully charged so I have no idea why.

any suggestions?

hi shaggy, are you using deans connectors on the battery?

i ask as i had similar issues with one of my cars and found that the little leaf springs on the connector had gone flat and wasnt pushing the connection firmly enough ,

Sounds like the ESC is shutting down or going into failsafe. Do any lights blink (on the ESC)? Typically this will happen if there's a heat or internal resistance problem but it's not clear to me from your description if that could be the case.

What electrics are you running? Not running a Savox servo are you?

Using deans but think they are ok. Servo is a hobby king special. Not sure if and want lights are blinking but will check

What battery are you using? I've read that there has been a hit & miss with lipo batteries because the discharge rate is greater than NiMh batteries.
