built it tonight, yet to paint the body.

updated pics on my blog.

As I've never personally had the original, I can't comment on chassis differences. Have a look at the pics and see what you think.

Just bought 3 more from rc mart.

I'm done for now. Should be enough spares to thrash it for a while.

Looks like Stella's entire first batch has been accounted for. Same thing happened with the FAV so the next one won't be until September if that is anything to go by.

Hi out of interest does the kit supplied motor come with extra long heads as most esc's have short battery leads. When I refurbed an original I had to make up extension leads from the esc to the motor.

yes it does, those in the picture are the stock leads. I have an ESC with real short leads too. I put the ESC as far back in the tub as possible. The instructions said to put the radio parts in order from the front, servo, ESC, RX... I changed that to servo, RX, ESC. With the ESC cables facing to the right side of the tub, where the hole is.

I've got a Tamiya Super Stock Rz motor ready for when my Nova Fox turns up or I might fit a HPI Saturn 20 turn motor yet I haven't decided lol. Time to make another set of extension leads.

I've ordered mine, picked up one of the last ones from Stella.

I have to say though - that new front stabilizer looks a bit cheap and nasty. Be interesting to hear the thoughts of anyone who's run the car with that stabilizer versus running it without. If it's like the original car, it will take away more steering in a car that has too little steering to begin with.

Already can see a few small differences - Obviously, rear dogbones, screws and front stabilizer. Shock tower material is different. The original had longer speed control wires, rather than longer motor wires. There appears to be some extra FRP reinforcing plate on the rear gearbox.

I wonder if the Nova chassis has the recess taken out for the old MSC servo.

Made it really hard to fit any esc flat on the chassis. It will allow a lot more room for modern electrics.

Do ya get what I mean??????

Hmm - so should I do work - or start building....

Just arrived

Background (computer) and foreground (the Fox) work look equally important.

But the more important work in our context would be the Fox.

So get on with it. Build it. Put up pics. Be the first :D

Is the box the same size as that of the Hornet or Hotshot?

box is 51.5 X 36.5 X 12 centimeters

Thanks. So it's Hotshot sized.

It's weird how they made the Boomerang box smaller than this & the Hotshot considering that the Boomer is a 4WD with at least as many components.
